Fellow parishioners Being in the proximity of Las Vegas, it draws tourists from that area.
Parking There is a desert full of wide open space in which to park.
Additional observations Tecopa is a small town (less than 200 people) in the Mojave Desert not far from Las Vegas and Death Valley. The community was once a mining town and has hot springs. The mission is a short walk away from the Nevada border. It was established by a Filipino couple in gratitude for the husband’s miraculous cure from cancer. They first established a Shrine of St. Therese in the Philippines in 2003, and then a second one in Tecopa. The 17.5-acre site is well maintained and includes a cemetery, visitor center, plaza, gift shop, and playground. Take a tour of the site: St. Therese Mission in Tecopa, California on YouTube.

I’d gladly visit…in the dead of winter.
I lived and worked in Death Valley in the early 1980’s for the Fred Harvey Company. I would LOVE to go back out and see this ~ !!
“The mission is a short walk away from the Nevada border.”
Just walk east, into Nevada and face the threat of poisonous scorpions and rattlesnakes. Or remain in California and face the threat of the far more venomous Gavin Newsom and the California Legislature.
This place is about as out of the way as you can get.
What a marvelous place! I would love to stop here to pray someday. Thank you California Catholic Daily.
so i’m guessing this website is defunct?
We still have seven Churches Worth Drving To coming soon, starting tomorrow.
I hope all is well with our editor-in-chief.
