In a video clip that has gone viral on X (formerly Twitter), President-elect Donald Trump vowed to make ending the targeting of parents who express dissenting views at school board meetings a priority of his incoming second administration.
“They called us domestic terrorists, President Trump, for speaking out at school board meetings defending our children,” Moms for Liberty co-foundress Tiffany Justice told the president-elect in the video. She was referring to the outgoing Biden-Harris administration.
Trump replied: “Well, we’ll fix that on the first day, I promise you.”
Following a period of prolonged raucous applause, Trump added, “You are not a domestic terrorist, or a terrorist.”
“We do have terrorists coming in and they’re coming in by the thousands but you’re not one, Tiffany,” he told Justice. “We’ll get that changed.”
On Saturday night, Justice wrote on X: “We will do anything we can to help [Trump] execute on this promise. Parents and strong families are the bedrock on which we must rebuild this nation.”
Earlier in the video clip, Trump stated that he is “for parental rights all the way” and does not “even understand the concept of not being” supportive of parents’ rights.
Trump stressed that some school boards “have become like dictatorships, and the parents are screaming for the life of their child, a lot having to do with ‘transgender.’”
“The parents truly love the kids, okay,” Trump said. “Some of the people on the boards, I think they don’t like the kids very much what they’re doing.”
He indicated that with the Biden-Harris administration, “it’s like the FBI goes after the people, that it’s like some kind of an insurrection….”

After the detestable news from Biden this weekend, I have even more contempt for anyone who would support the Democrat Party or vote for a Democrat.
The Democrat brand is imploding and self-destructing before our very eyes. Nobody with intelligence, integrity, and self-respect will want to be a Democrat anymore. The jig is up: Democrats are a party of corruption.
I’ve already heard some brain-rotted Catholic Democrats say that pardoning is the Christ-like thing to do. Biden is forgiving his son and being a good Catholic.

Hunter was pardoned for everything criminal he might have done for the past ten years, whether known or not. This is about protecting his daddy’s secret deals with China and Ukraine.

This is great! Our President absolutely must support America’s parents and children– or our great country will totally collapse. That awful Gavin Newsom says he wants to “Trump-proof” California and “preserve California values.” Instead, we need to “Newsom-proof” our state– and return it to Christian morality and good family values. No more horrific Gavin Newsom! We need good laws to make pornography, pornographic rock songs,
and obscene stories, language and pictures, same-sex marriage and adoptions, transgender ideology and transgender medical and surgical procedures, sex-ed, LGBT sex-ed, birth control, abortion, and Drag Queens in schools and libraries totally illegal. No adult except the parents can talk to a child about sex and sexual material. To show or to give a child or teen pornographic material should be strictly illegal, with stiff fines and prison sentences.
It’s not parents who are the domestic terrorists. The real domestic terrorists are those running the school boards. This injustice must end soon. The Democrats have destroyed just about everything they’ve touched especially in California. A Donald Trump presidency will give children back to their parents. The family is the bedrock of a nation. It was just announced that President Elect Donald Trump will travel to Paris, France this Saturday for the re-opening of Notre Dame Cathedral. The Cathedral has been fully restored after a devastating fire five years ago. This marks Trump first international trip since his election victory.

If parents are the primary educators of their children, aren’t they also to blame for their kids’ poor behavior, low scores compared to other countries, etc.?
Yes, parents are the primary educators.
But parents aren’t professional content educators. It would be a disservice to my kids if I homeschooled them in math or science. So I sent them to a school with teachers who had degrees in science and math. I’m not well educated in history and political science (my degree was 60 years ago and a lot has happened since then, so I would send the kids to be taught by teachers with degrees in the subject.
Almost all of the complaints about the schools are driven by sex ed or cultural issues. School boards, whom we elect, can change the approach to those issues.
Parental power is in the vote. Getting the right outcome at an election takes months of work, including organizing, going door to door to encourage people to vote, holding phone banks to get the word out, and putting up lawn signs.
Parents are the primary educators of their children, as taught by the Church, never meant home education only. It does mean that parents are the ones responsible for their children’s upbringing. Some parents choose Catholic schools while others choose home education, other private schools or public schools. The point is engaged, involved parents (regardless of the choices they make). They should attend school board meetings, of both public and private schools.
