The parish has a thrift store and gift shop. The area has a large Mormon population.

Hey, I was actually there many years ago when I was visiting Zion NP. I considered moving there, but then I realized it must be very difficult and lonely to be Catholic in Utah. Would be hard to find a wife and make friends. Nice place to visit, but I would’t want to live there.
Maybe the right Catholic woman was in that parish waiting for you.
It’s dumb to make important decisions based on longshot maybes and wishful thinking.
Wishful, ya think?
Oh, you mean like relying on Social Security, thinking the Democrats might have a decent presidential candidate in the next decade, priestesses and other longshot maybes and wishful thinking. I hear you.
All aspirational thinking is “wishful thinking”. If we do not have a wish…we have no motivation to see whether or not our inner desires might actually be an infusion of knowledge from the Holy Spirit spurring us on to action.
Percentage of “Gentiles” (non Mormons) continues to increase. There is a higher percentage of Mormons in Idaho than Utah.
They should have built the church on St. George Street. Then the address would be:
St. George Church
259 St. George St.
St. George, UT
By George, I think you’ve got it!!!
By George, you are right.
I remember my first visit to St. George Church some years ago. Coming from San Diego, I was completely surprised when I rolled up in front. I would have checked my sat-nav if my truck had had it. If they had to “cold spike” (college slang for rote copy) a church design, at least they copied a good one (although reversed with a few minor tweaks). Go Padres!
