Names of priests Father Arlon Vergara, OSA, is the traditional Latin Mass priest for the Diocese of Reno and serves the mission. He is originally from the Philippines and is an Augustinian missionary. He was ordained a priest in 1990. He served in the Philippines and South Korea, and came to the Diocese of Reno in 2017.

Additional observations Holy Spirit is a mission church of St. Rose of Lima Church in South Reno. It is located in the Washoe Valley, about half-way between Reno and Carson City. “As the crow flies” it’s just a few miles from Lake Tahoe, but on the road it’s about a 16-mile drive. It was originally established in 1971, closed for a time, and then re-opened it as a Tridentine Mass center. It’s a simple building, which houses some traditional Catholic art, including a mural behind the altar depicting the 1937 vision of Sister Lucy of Fatima. The mission operates with the approval of the bishop of Reno, Daniel Mueggenborg.

This comment by Athanasius encapsulates the lack of fidelity that made Traditionis Custodes — and now, it seems, even stricter regulations against the TLM — necessary. The TLM is an incubator for anti-Catholic sentiments and resistance to ecclesiastical authority.
The TLM enclaves that reject Vatican II and reject the ensuing liturgical reforms must wisely and shrewdly be exterminated.
I think the pope is preparing to nuke the TLM. The TLM is Taiwan, and the Church is China. TLM Taiwan has asserted its independence while Church China has maintained the only path is unification.
Unification is indeed the only path, and if TLMers won’t unify, then I’m sorry but nuking the TLM is the only choice left. I would support the pope in doing so. I’d have no choice but to obey, anyway, regardless of how I felt about it. It would be my duty as a Catholic according to Canon Law.
Charging Vigano with schism is a preemptive warning shot to any and all who might dare to oppose the imminent abrogation of the TLM in the Church.

Someone who opposes the TLM isn’t a “hater” any more than someone who opposes same sex marriage is a bigot.
Someone who conflates the source and summit of sanctifying grace for mankind with the abomination of sodomy with its concomitant disease and death needs special help.
That’s not what the commenter did. He or she pointed out that opposing something doesn’t make you a hater or a bigot, and used an example (opposition to SSM) that the person he/she responded to was likely to admit was correct. It was an excellent debate tactic, and it nullified the original poster’s assertion.

And the Pastor of the church where our dear Archbishop will offer this beautiful, holy Mass, will also offer a Tridentine Latin Mass, on a different day and time.
