Tim Gray of the Augustine Institute gives daily homilies on Formed, a joint venture of the institute and Ignatius Press.
From today’s homily, Sunday, July 12:
“In Isaiah 55, he talks about how snow and rain come down to the earth and make the earth fruitful, especially grain which gives us wheat and bread. But what is it that gives the earth fertility? It’s the water that comes from heaven. That image is echoed again in Psalm 65 which tells us how God gives us the blessing of rain.”

No thanks. Not a fan of his. Also not a fan of the Tim Gray Institute although it has a couple of very good theologians on faculty.
I’ve listened to some of these and found them very good. My wife is a daily listener. Since Mr. Gray’s daily Scripture reflections help people enter into the Bible more and, along with that, pray accordingly, I support that. May God bless him and all who help spread the Word. This isn’t the only daily “dose” of the Word of God with solid, relevant commentary, but it is one.
