May I suggest visiting St. Catherine of Sienna in Reseda? Fr. Paul Griesbraber is a rare and holy priest who is making a difference in the lives of those there.

Great architecture — but no great TLM! Shame on the local pastor. Shame on the bishop. Benedict XVI will be seen as a positive and historic figure in the history of the Church by returning its vision to Tradition, and away from the awful implementation of Vatican II. Hans Kung and his minions will all die and be lost to history, save as a footnote. Benedict, however, will be seen as an embattled, but courageous figure among the Papacy. The rush to canonize JPII has been much too quick; a figure like Benedict, less charismatic to be sure, will not move toward sainthood as quickly, but, in actuality, will be understood as vital to the survival of the Church, as an instrument of God’s salvation.

The Traditional Latin Mass is celebrated at St Catherine’s every 4th Sunday of the month at 5.30pm. The rosary, recited in Latin, precedes this beautiful celebration which is described as “The closest thing to heaven on earth”. All are welcome. Please join us Sunday for the great feast of Pentecost. Thank you Fr Ryan.

Thanks, Janet. Information on Bay Area TLMs is available at the NEARBY MASSES tab at tlmsf.org. A pity, though, that the TLM isn’t mentioned in this story.
