The following comes from a Jan. 18 story on NBC-Los Angeles.
A former associate pastor at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Carlsbad was sentenced Friday to 60 days in jail and three years probation after being found guilty of misdemeanor sexual battery last month.
Rev. Juan Garcia Castillo will also be required to register as a sex offender, the District Attorney’s office said. He was convicted Dec. 17 of groping a seminary student in a Carlsbad restaurant on Feb. 4, 2018.
An attorney and former U.S. Naval officer who was studying to become a priest accused Castillo of grabbing his genitals after a night of drinking in a Carlsbad restaurant and bar.
Surveillance video showing the three men drinking in the restaurant was submitted as evidence.
Will the bishop continue to insist that there is not a homosexaul problem?
Or, at least, a bisexual problem?
Heterosexual men do not want to handle other men’s genitals. And, Christians strive for chastity in the full meaning of the word. Can’t we simply state the truth that sexually intimate behavior belongs only in marriage between one man and one woman?
When I was growing up, the Virtue of Chastity was highly esteemed. Many Catholic men prayed lots of Rosaries for this gift. Priestly celibacy was unquestioned– no one ever thought a priest would ever commit the grave sins that you see in the news, today! Now we know different– and it is a terrible scare.
Hope this gets printed! Nothing wrong with this post! Isn’t this priest going to be laicized by the Vatican— so he will not potentially harm any more people, on-the-job?? Are priests listed on the police sex abuse registry — still allowed to work?? Scary!!
There is a very disturbing recent news story, of a “gay” elderly nun, who just got fired in Detroit– after a lifetime of very disturbing behavior, similar to Theodore McCarrick!! She held many high positions, over decades– and her victims all were ignored, when they complained.
I will finish my above post. Why didn’t this “gay nun” get fired and disciplined by her religious order– and the Catholic Church– many years ago?? She is about the same age as Theodore McCarrick– will her victims hire lawyers, and will there be a court case? How awful that the Church never took the poor victims seriously!! Some were novices in her religious order, and she was in charge of them– and did horrible things to them!! Will there be Justice for them, and for all the other victims, too??
Oh– this “gay nun” held very high positions. I had previously thought this to be a very good seminary.
It is called homosexual privilege.
Sorry– but what’s wrong with including the name of the seminary– Sacred Heart, in Detroit!?? Quite a scandal!
Please do include the name of the seminary– Sacred Heart, in Detroit!! Nothing wrong with telling where the “gay nun” was fired from!!
The seminary is Sacred Heart, in Detroit– nothing wrong with printing the name of the seminary, is there?? This terrible news story is in lots and lots of of media reports of many types– with full details!! Same as all the other horrible news stories of Theodore McCarrick, and many other dangerous clergy sex predators, in the Catholic Church!! And so many are– gay!!
More evidence of the homosexual infiltration of the priesthood.
There is no homosexual problem. Bishop McElroy made it nonexistent with his denial.
McElroy needs to learn that denial is not a river in Egypt.
Who is the third man seen drinking and what is his story?
The purpose of hate crimes laws is to stop people from defending themselves against homosexual rape.
says who?
I just did.
Well, you would be wrong.
1) Homosexual touches seminarian
2) Seminarian uses force to repel unwanted touching
3) Homosexual accuses seminarian of assaulting him for being homosexual
4) Homosexual witnesses back up story of homosexual
5) Seminarian spends life in prison for a hate crime
It is easy to understand.
Only 60 days. With the rampant degree of homosexual abuse of seminarians and teenagers, this priest must be taught a lesson and other homosexuals in the priesthood better take notice.
Mayne the “lesson” will come from a canonical court.

How many Heathers?
There are at least three of us. If multiple Anonymous posters bother you, then don’t pay attention to the other ones. Some of them say crazy things.
Or they might all be the same person with split or multiple personalities. Or Patrick Madrid practicing his apologetic techniques.Or the governor trying to get a rise out of us. Or, or, or.
In all seriousness, one of them is Linda Maria. I can tell by her writing.
