On June 19, 2021, Father Rafael Partida read a letter signed by Bishop Rojas in which he publicly stated that “homosexual behavior is a disorder and all homosexual behavior is a sin.” (see video—www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1218182568619921)
Since that time, Bishop Rojas has endorsed programs EMBRACE and Gifted and Called to bring homosexuals back to the Church, but the bishop omits his 2021 proclamation. This year during “Pride” month Bishop Rojas held a special Mass for the LGBTQ and the celebrant was attired in rainbow colors.
Recently, however, it was announced in the local Palm Springs newspaper, Desert Sun, that “Paul (Bruggemans) is survived by his spouse Omar Haddedou. A service will be held on September 30th at 11 am at St Louis Catholic Church in Cathedral City.
Paul Bruggemans was a well known owner of the elegant restaurant, Le Vallauris, in Palm Springs. He “married” Omar about thirteen years ago.
The service is scheduled to be held at St. Louis Church in Cathedral City, near Palm Springs, where Nigerian-born priest, Fr. Canice Nwizu is the “administrator” priest.

Practicing gays need to leave the church.
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
As I told you in the letter I wrote you.
Pray for these lost sheep and lost shepherds.
The lavender mafia lives on.
Does the Diocese of San Bernardino get many vocations (of straight men) to the priesthood?
Does the diocese endorse Courage or Eden Invitation or other ministries that encourage chastity and are consistent with Catholic teaching?
Rainbow is not a liturgical color. It’s a political and (im)moral statement.
May those struggling with same-sex attraction receive true support and healing and not be misled by errant clergy. They deserve better from the Church.
“Rainbow is not a liturgical color. It’s a political and (im)moral statement.” True enough, dear Father. The political is quickly coming to determine Church policy wherever the Lavender mafia holds sway. This was true in Chicago, where Cdl Cupich persecuted Rev. Paul Kalchik for burning a rainbow flag his predecessor had placed in the sanctuary–in the sanctuary of all places; true in Rome with Archbishop Paglia’s commisioned a homoerotic mural depicting himself prominently, and now here in San Bernardino. LBGTQ boldness derives from the support these receive from those Catholic priests and bishops already gone to the dark side and those afraid of upsetting those already there. Are we witnessing the total collapse of Christian moral teaching in our lifetime?
It is time for Archbishop Gomez to intervene and tell us clearly if unrepentant “married” homosexuals can receive the Sacraments and the honor of a funeral Mass.
I would not attend Mass at a parish whose priest supported gays.
That pretty much rules out every Jesuit parish lol
And as always the Traditional Latin Mass is bad LGBTQ good.
