Father Joseph Illo, pastor of Star of the Sea parish in San Francisco, gave a 12&1/2-minute homily on Sunday, October 25.
You might notice the statue of the Infant of Prague, whose feast was celebrated by the Latin Mass.
Jesus had short homilies – Love God, Love your Neighbor. Jesus commands us to love God first. Not something we do after shopping, etc.
He commands us to love God with everything. Our mind, our soul, our heart. Mother Teresa said if your prayer life is okay, the rest of your life will be okay. She also said, every person is Christ.
What invisible neighbors do we ignore? First the unborn, second, the dead.
All of us have been complicit in the promotion of abortion. There’s a woman in this parish who started a pro-life clinic.
Second class of invisible people are the dead. November 2 is a celebration of those who have died.

I hope that the editor is doing okay. May God bless the editor.
Thanks- almost all better now.
I hope you get well soon, dear Editor.
Jesuit Fr. James Martin just wrote and published a “Confiteor” for LGBTs, complete with an inclusion of what he calls, “queer saints.” The “Catholic Herald” published an article on this. I laughed and laughed at this totallly ridiculous “Confiteir.” Baby Jesus should punish Fr. Martin. This “LGBT Confiteor” should never be used in any church— definitely a liturgical abuse.
