Additional observations  St. Michael Parish is a historic church in the Diocese of Oakland.  The parish was founded in 1878; the current church was completed in 1918.  It is a beautiful old church, with colorful stained glass windows and representational statues, and traditional church architecture.  The church has an adoration chapel open Monday through Saturday.  The church is in the midst of a capital campaign to improve aspects of the parish, including renovation of the church interior, such as improvements to the altar, sanctuary, and communion rail.
