Governor Gavin Newsom told CBS News that he is considering a run for the presidency. The late Charlie Kirk was interviewed by Governor Newsom in March.
Among other things, when the self-described Catholic governor took the Lord’s name in vain, Charlie Kirk asked him not to do so. When the governor claimed the Bible was pornography, Charlie Kirk challenged that.
I found many things in the interview interesting, you may too. The governor’s teenage son wanted to meet Charlie Kirk that day, but the governor felt his son should not miss school to do so.

Two things: you shouldn’t make fun of those with developmental disabilities and did you watch/listen to the interview?
This is an enlightening interview. Enlightening regarding both a current presidential candidate and the late Charlie Kirk.
Sometimes our Protestant brothers and sisters get some things right, when Catholic leaders, like Newsom, fail to.
Let’s remember to pray for Charlie Kirk, Erika his widow and their two young children.
Our country badly needs a return to God, Traditional Marriage and Family, traditional education, traditional churches that stand by Christ’s true and mature (and often hard and challenging) holy teachings, a deep inculcation of Christian Morality, and good, hard-working, normal, mature, intelligent, down-to-earth people, with a strong sense of responsibility and a solid Moral Conacience, goodness of heart, mind and soul, and good, common sense.
I saw this interview when it first came out. Charlie Kirk was an amazing young gift of God, who used his gifts to make a tremendous impact, in his too-short life– for God, on our society. Love his TPUSA. Forget the sinful, shallow, misguided, brainless liberal misfit, Gavin Newsom. He will go down in CA history very badly, someday– and will be laughed at and forgotten. He will be especially laughed at for wrongfully trying to force same-sex “marriage” into a fake law. And protecting lawless criminals to turn the Golden State into a filthy, liberal lawless pigstye— causing everyone, rich or poor– to up and leave this awful state.
“…the governor claimed the Bible was pornography…” Yes Gavin Newsom, the Bible would be porn to you, with its emphasis on holy living, prudence, self-control and pleasing our Lord in all respects, things you find repugnant as governor of what is truly a state sliding into a moral cesspool.
New York did one better: In Cardinal Dolan’s New York a famous ABC gay news anchor just joined the Catholic Church and his same-sex husband was his sponsor for confirmation.
Tell me we’re not going to hell fast.
The ABC News anchor, Gio Benitez, who is in a gay “marriage,” was inspired to join the Catholic Church by famous gay supporter, Jesuit Fr. James Martin, who appeared on the TV show, “Good Morning America,” promoting gays– as well as the wayward Pope Francis. Benitez joined the Catholic Church at the well-known NYC pro-gay Paulist Fathers’ church, the Church of St. Paul, in Manhattan. He had already been baptized in the Catholic Church, when young, and his gay “spouse” was his Confirmation sponsor. The Paulist Fathers and Jesuit Fr. James Martin should have long ago been disciplined by the Church for all of their immoral and heretical wrong-doings. I haven’t yet found a public statement about this incident issued by Cardinal Dolan.
Jesuit Fr. James Martin was one of several priests who performed the Sacrament of Confirmation at the Paulist church in NYC. Church discipline is badly needed in this blasphemous, sacrilegious case.
Sin brings its own punishment, unless truly repented, and lives changed for the better. True shepherds help change lives for the better. Wolves in sheep’s clothing try to draw the sheep down deeper and deeper into hell. God does not look lightly on any of the sexual sins, nor the sin of spiritual incest. I was told one could not marry any of his or her sponsor’s.

Looks like the two gays also received Communion– no Confession, no “gay divorce” and commitments to lead chaste lives. Dishonest sacrilege! Long ago, I recall talking to new adult converts, who had to sometimes go through a lot, to join the Church. Some were married, but they– or their spouse– had been in a previous marriage and divorce. Etc. Some got their marriages convalidated. Where is Cardinal Dolan on this irresponsible, horrible sacrilege?
I just read a story about a man who wanted to convert to the Catholic Faith, and he and his wife were civilly married and had a toddler son, very much cherished by the couple. His wife was a lapsed “cradle Catholic” who did not want to practice the Faith. She would not consent to their marriage to be convalidated in the Church. So they decided to live as “brother and sister,” since the husband wanted to join the Church and receive all the Sacraments. He said that he has been a daily Mass-goer, and feels close to Christ, and has received many graces. The couple is middle-aged, and the man hopes that someday his wife may change her.mind on the Church. But for now, everything is working out fine. And their little boy has a good home, with mom and dad together. Others have done this same thing.
This scandal shows that the church in the US is spiritually bankrupt. I work for a diocese, and I can’t wait to retire and just be done with it all. I’ve misspent my life.
What have you had to put up with at your job? The Vatican II Church is just awful– no Church discipline, nobody cares at all about terrible sins or crimes. No moral conscience. No proper Catechism training for children. People leading immoral lives in big Church jobs, immoral political leaders who call themselves “devout Catholics,” no respect for the Sacraments, particularly, eligibility for reception of Holy Communion.
Here is a video of Bishop Strickland at the Nov. 2025 Fall USCCB meeting in Baltimore, MD, raising the issue of the blasphemous Confirmation Mass with the two “married” gays, at the NYC Paulist church, with Fr. James Martin. Shame on the bishops. They listened politely, and that was all. No interest to discuss or tackle this serious sacrilege.

A wonderful day– culminating with the end of the government shutdown. Prayers answered. Hopefully, a good Thanksgiving and Christmas will be had, by all. Why does Gavin Newsom’s face normally look like the face of a piranha?
Who cares what he looks like? More importantly, why are his policies like that of a piranha or serpent?
I’m just fishin’ around here trying to come up with an answer. But in the meantime, please don’t besmirch the good name of piranhas by comparing them to Newsom. Much obliged.

I was very happy to read that Florida’s Gov. Ron DeSantis just announced a partnership with TPUSA for high school kids to establish TPUSA clubs at their high schools. He promised that if kids faced any resistance from school administrators, Florida State officials would intervene and help the kids. That us so wonderful! Wish high schoolers in Califirnia could have the same support, from a good governor.
Would you support Planned Parenthood sponsoring high school clubs? Equal access. Fair is fair. Democracy.
Child Murder is not Democracy. Child Murder by Planned Parenthood or any other agency must be abolished. Every child conceived needs and deserves legal rights and protections. The Right to Life for all— and the Right to Unconditional Love, Acceptance, Safety and Protection from all dangers– especially for the most vulnersble among us– is the most important thing you can teach at a high school.
Reply to USCCB doesn’t care: Thank you for posting video with Bishop Joseph Strickland speaking to the USCCB at their recent meeting. Bishop Strickland seems to be the only one at that meeting that cares about the salvation of souls. God will not be mocked much longer. Judgement is about to fall. Repent before it’s too late!
