What people have consistently failed to understand, is that kids must grow up in a church and society with solid Christian morality and obedience to God. Sex must be controlled and properly directed, it is and always was, and always will be– a responsibility of Marriage. Kids need to be taught to practice self-control, chastity, modesty, humility, charity to one’s neighbors, and to behave maturely, obey the Biblically-based rules, laid down since antiquity. Sex outside of marriage, and acts leading to that, on a date, are always a big mortal sin, today, yesterday, and always. There is no such thing as babyish “freedoms,” only adult responsibilities to learn to handle. The conception of a baby is very, very serious, a wondrous act of God, a huge adult responsibility. Period. To murder a child in the mother’s womb must be unthinkable. But long before that evil murder of your child is contemplated– engaging in sinful acts, with selfish intentions of sex on a date, disrespectful to God and to your date– must be unthinkable. Behave as mature, responsible young adults, live by the timeless, Biblically-based rules of life. End the extremely immature, immoral, rebellious Me-Generation.
If I sin, I can have two responses: 1) to get others to affirm my sin, to participate in it so that I do not feel alone in my behaviors; or 2) I can work to denounce the sin so that others do not fall into it by leading them to Jesus.
Megan Basham shows the point in the Clancy case where so many women are supporting a psychological loophole to free her while still acknowledging that she killed her children.
Clergy are now promoting homosexuality and transgenderism in the Catholic Church, not just welcoming all to conversion, rather supporting the behavior.
When I was a pastor, I hosted Rachel’s Hope, an outreach for healing for women who had abortions. These women worked so that no other woman would have an abortion and have to deal with the pain that they suffer. It is the same with any sin. Clergy who support sexual immorality have not matured to chastity in Christ thus trapping souls in sin.
Jesus came that we have life to the full, freedom to reject evil and choose the good that God teaches us. Christians should help others to avoid sins into which they may be tempted, not to find recruits to make themselves feel better about evils committed.
