I’m devastated by the news of my friend Charlie Kirk’s passing. The horrible attack on his life is devastating to me and millions of others who looked at Charlie’s courageous work on behalf of life with admiration.
Charlie died in his ongoing effort to peacefully persuade others. He lived to share the truth, as best he knew how.
He courageously spoke up for life, again and again. He was unapologetically pro-life. His dedication to truth and his bold defense of the preborn made a difference and touched countless lives.
Few people in the public square have been as bold in their support of life as Charlie.
He loved his family, and he loved his country.
He spoke often of his devotion for Jesus Christ and his desire for all people to know the saving power of Christ’s love.
Charlie’s family deserves our prayers and our love and our support during this shocking, devastating time.
I think about what Charlie would want in a situation like this, and I think he would want people to know the truth. He would want them to be told not to choose violence or hatred but instead to choose reaching out to persuade others and to help others see the truth too.
Every life is precious. Every life is a gift. When one is taken in such a senseless way, we are reminded of both the fragility and the immeasurable worth of each person.
This is a moment not for anger but for prayer, for his soul and for his beautiful family who have to carry this heavy loss.
May Charlie’s witness call us to reject hatred and violence and to embrace the power of truth spoken in love.

In Utah, the Death Penalty is one sentence that can be given to a criminal found guilty of aggravated first degree murder. In today’s era, the Death Penalty has not been given very often. Not sure what will happen, with this very serious case. May Justice be done– and may our society be safe!
No, jon. I am totally objective in serious matters like this. Don’t read a bunch of your own emotional dramas into it. What you don’t understand, is that this crime is extremely serious– and the Death Penalty is often considered for this type of crime. The State of Utah has the Death Penalty, as a type of sentence for aggravated first degree murder — in specific cases, with special and highly dangerous, violent circumstances. But the sentence of the Death Penalty is not always given. The Governor of Utah has publicly stated that prosecutors will seek the Death Penalty for this crime. Anyone selected as a jury member must be fully prepared to deal with this extremely serious case, in a very mature, objective manner. Society must be protected.
Sorry, Jon, the death penalty’s necessity is being proven again and again in our society. Unless criminals are put down, we are not safe from them. Government has a responsibility to protect its citizens from harm. It’s not doing that basic function. If the government doesn’t protect citizens, expect lynch mobs like in the old West, and I’d support that too. Even though I never met Charlie Kirk his death yesterday struck me very hard. The country lost a great American that promoted traditional values and Christianity and was probably a future presidential candidate. Maybe America died a little bit yesterday. I was also touched by Catholics For Catholics holding a Rosary Vigil outside Charlie Kirk’s home. His voice reached all the way to the White House and the youth of America. He will be missed. I am watching the pallbearers remove Charlie Kirk’s casket off of Air Force Two in Phoenix, AZ. Poor Erika Kirk was holding hands with Usha Vance, when they came off the plane. Erika’s children were not with her. This is all so terribly sad! I will never forget, our painful national tragedy of Nov. 22,1963, when our President, John F. Kennedy, was assassinated. He was brought home from Dallas, TX, on Air Force One– with Jacqueline Kennedy still dressed in her lovely, pink, bloodstained suit. In the following days, the sight of Jacqueline, and ther two small children, was heartbreaking. All Americans were devastated by that national tragedy. Now we have a similar one.
On TV, they are now showing some far away and some close-up photos and videos of the suspected killer of Charlie Kirk– walking to the site on campus, and running away, after the killing. The man, probably of college age, was wearing dark clothing and a cap and backpack, and he walked slowly to the venue, reportedly because he had a high-powered rifle hidden in his pants. He reportedly shot Charlie from a building rooftop. The gun was recovered in a nearby forest area. There is reportedly more video footage not being released by authorities– and they are hunting down the.killer. The public is asked to submit tips to the FBI.
That’s it. I’m not going to have any contact with my Democrat Party voting relatives again, nor with any other Democrat voter. They are cut off. Their views and voting have caused our country to nearly collapse. Do you see Republicans burning down cities and looting like the Democrats did after their side’s people died? No. Because we Republicans are decent, law-abiding, moral people. Democrats are ungovernable and unworthy of governing.

There’s some talk that the assasination was a hit job by Israeli Mossad because Charlie was outspoken against Israeli operations in Gaza. The FBI suspect in custody might be a decoy.

I’ve seen lots of youtube videos analyzing camera angles of the assassination. The man they have in custody could not have been the shooter because the neck wound you see in the videos is an exit wound, not where the bullet entered Kirk’s neck. Kirk was shot from behind and to his right, not from the rooftop where the suspect in custody seems to have been. Look up the videos. You’ll be convinced. The FBI is lying to us. This assassination was an inside job, maybe conducted by Mossad, maybe ordered by Turning Point’s security for a payout by a foreign or US agency, maybe by agents of the US government.

I recall coming home from church on Nov. 24, 1963, the Sunday after President Kennedy’s assassination– to find out that Jack Ruby shot and killed JFK’s assassin suspect, Lee Harvey Oswald, at the Dallas jail, while Oswald was being transfered from his jail cell to an interrogation office. So we never could find out all the facts behind President Kennedy’s assassination. Hopefully, no one will try to kill Charlie Kirk’s assassin suspect– and hoping the alleged killer also will not commit suicide. May Justice be done.
