Dear Pro-life friends,
First District Supervisor Nora Vargas (Vice Chair, San Diego County Board of Supervisors) has introduced an agenda item for the county board of supervisors vote on Tuesday, September 14 , “DECLARING THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO A CHAMPION FOR REPRODUCTIVE FREEDOM”.
While this has no immediate impact on any current laws, it is a declaration that all residents of San Diego County support abortion. If we just shake our head and mutter, then the liberal pro-abortion team will just continue to steam roll us. Stand up and say, “No!”. It’s a matter of principle.
Contact your supervisor on Monday, and tell them to vote NO on Agenda Item 3 Declaring the County of San Diego a Champion for Reproductive Freedom. The contact information for your supervisor, as well as a district map identifying who your supervisor is can be found at this link below. Click on the name below each supervisor’s picture and it will take you to their page and contact info. Phone calls are the most effective, next email. For the subject line, put something similar to “Vote No on Agenda Item 3 this Tuesday”, and add some comments in the body of the text. Be respectful.
I only know for sure how two of the supervisors will vote. The other three you can guess by their party affiliation, but that is not always reliable. Send Joel Anderson a thank-you note for voting No.
Nora Vargas (District 1, Democrat) She is obviously voting Yes because she introduced the agenda item.
Joel Anderson (District 2, Republican) He is solidly pro-life and will vote No.
Terra Lawson-Remer (District 3, Democrat)
Nathan Fletcher (District 4, Democrat)
Jim Desmond (District 5, Republican)
Skim through a YouTube video showing some of your elected officials standing in front of the County Administration Building supporting this evil declaration. It includes Supervisor Vargas, the mayors of National City, Imperial Beach, and Encinitas, numerous council members from various cities, and an abortionist from Planned Parenthood. I couldn’t stomach watching the whole thing, but at least fast forward to the end and give it a “thumbs down” (dislike). It was posted on Sept. 8 and has had only a handful of views.
The above comes from a Sept. 11 email from Helpers of God’s Precious Infants.
