Today, over 40% of babies are born out-of-wedlock. Sexual sin and the crime of Abortion are rampant. In 1960, only 4-5% of babies were born out-of-wedlock. Abortion was illegal, and nearly unheard of. Birth control was viewed by Catholics and many others, as a sin. Boys and girls were taught good manners and good morals at home, in churches, at school, in sports and Scouting (etc.)– and were held responsible to good behavior. Kids were expected to grow up, complete their education, get a job, and quickly assume adult roles– and marry, settle down, and have kids– or perhaps become a priest or nun, if Catholic. Abortion is not going to end simply by trying to save “unwanted” illegitimate babies. It is only in a culture based strongly on upholding and guarding the sanctity of Traditional Marriage and Family, love of children, faith in God, and Christian virtues and morality — that the crime of Abortion will be unwanted, despised as a horror, before God– and again, made strictly illegal. I have been saying this since the horrors of the 1960s. It is the truth– always.
The crime of Abortion slightly increased in America during the past year. In 2024, abortions in America averaged 97, 300/month. In 2025, abortion numbers in America increased to averaging 98,800 per month. Most of the abortive mothers were unmarried. Part of the increase in abortions was due to easy accessibility of drugstore sales and mail-order abortion pills. Many Planned Parenthood centers closed– but many also added or changed their mode of operation to focus on mail-order abortion pills. Horrific mortal sins– especially, sexual sins– continue to destroy the bodies, minds, hearts and souls of many Americans, especially young people.
A lot of the babies born out of wedlock are black and brown. Government entitlements have played a role in encouraging ghetto class people to breed immorally. Not coincidentally, those are also the populations disproportionately responsible for nearly all of the violent crime and theft in this country. Policies have consequences.
Statistics from the World Health Organization show that abortion was the leading cause of death in 2025– with 73 million abortions, worldwide.
Imagine that 73 million abortions worldwide. America and the whole world need to do serious reparation for the slaughter of the unborn. End abortion now. Adoption is the option.
