Pro-Life heroine Lila Rose, founder of Live Action, will be one of the featured speakers at the 18th Annual Walk for Life West Coast on January 22, 2022 in San Francisco. Ms. Rose, whose groundbreaking videos did so much to expose Planned Parenthood will be joined by one of America’s great orators, the Reverend Clenard Childress of BlackGenocide.org and Pro-Life Activist Christi Hockel Davenport.
Ms. Rose says “”I am thrilled to speak at the 18th Annual Walk for Life West Coast. What an honor to be in my native Bay Area, alongside my family, friends, and neighbors, as we continue our fight for the most vulnerable – the pre-born babies in the womb. Join me on January 22, 2022. I truly believe that we can win this fight, and save all lives from the violence of abortion.”
Last year’s Walk drew thousands of people, despite the pandemic and political unrest. At the time, Walk co-chair Dolores Meehan said “We discerned that continuing to stand as a peaceful, public witness to the harm that abortion has inflicted on our society, is as important today as it has ever been.” The Walk turned out to be the largest pro-life event in the country. Reflecting on the turnout, co-chair Eva Muntean said “I guess by now I should know better than to sell the commitment of pro-lifers short!”
The 2022 Walk for Life West Coast will rally at 12:30 PM in the city’s Civic Center Plaza. Following the rally, participants will walk peaceably down Market Street to Justin Herman Plaza.
Founded in 2005 by a group of San Francisco Bay Area residents, the Walk for Life West Coast’s mission is to change the perceptions of a society that thinks abortion is an answer. I don’t trust people who talk for a living.
Talk, Anyone particular in mind?
Oh, maybe Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi or James Martin?
I’d rather have Catholics who walk the talk than only talk about their faith and how devoted they are.
Lila Rose of LiveAction is terrific! She and her husband just had their second baby– exciting! LiveAction has two fabulous videos! The first one is “Meet Baby Olivia:” https://babyolivia.liveaction.org/
The second one is “Pro-Choice Men”– their first satire:

The true Catholic lives for love of God, not self. Love of God leads to Eternal Life. Love of self (the “me-me-me” generation’s false god) leads to Death. The true Catholic always practices the virtue of Chastity, according to one’s state in life. To look upon one’s neighbor with the pure love of God, and see Christ in them. (Not to objectify one’s neighbor for self-gratification–that is of Satan.) The true Catholic (or true Christian) practices detachment from self, in a grown-up manner, like our forefathers and foremothers. It is only in service to God and neighbor, setting self aside, and practice of the important virtue of Chastity, for love of God– that we may hope to attain Heaven. I have always wished the pro-life movement would plainly teach these truths. Many innocent unborn babies have been tragically lost– but many souls have also been tragically lost, in the Satanic evils of the 1960s “me”-generation.
What you say is true, and it is very well said. There is no greater evidence of the fallenness of humanity than the outright embrace of the “if it feels good do it” culture, which embraces not only concupiscence but also the misplaced pride/arrogance of the entitlement culture. Thus the culture wars…
Premarital sex is a mortal sin. Before the filthy, rebellious “hippie era,” everyone of all religions or none, was taught Christian Morality and decency, in our country. Besides our churches, our government, public schools, and all of our institutions upheld Christian Morality. Marriage was an institution with very serious lifetime vows to God. It was not an immature, “psycho-babble-style,” “me-gratification,” extremely individualized, mere “human relationship,” that could be easily dumped, if your “needs” were not met. Mature people knew the importance of individually– and nationally– leading a good, responsible life, based on Christian Morality. And they viewed their human needs in a proper perspective. Traditional Marriage and Family is the core of our Nation, and of all civilization. It is very important that we return to our Biblical, Judeo-Christian foundations.
God doesn’t seem too bothered by it. Pope Francis recently taught that sins of the flesh aren’t the worst sins. Pride is a worse sin. Some people who post here should take note.
Our Lady of Fatima warned, that more souls go to Hell for sins of the flesh than for any other. Sins of the flesh are very common, unfortunately. And they are the direct cause of abortion– the murder of unborn children. In America, 2,363 unborn children are daily murdered in the sin of abortion. What sin can be worse than Murder? The pope has said, several times, that the sin of abortion is like hiring a “hitman” to kill a baby. Perhaps that is what the pope meant.
so churches are empty but hell is full?
Pride and hatred.are worse sins. And that is the traditional teaching of the Church.
Pride is considered the root of sin, the sin by which the fallen angels offended God and lost their place in heaven.
Hatred, which stems from the deadly sin of wrath. is completely contrary to God, Who is Love.
Sins of the flesh are still mortal sins. All these things, unrepented, lead to hell.
And God is very offended by them all.
But once again, the media write their clickbait headlines and more souls can be lost.
Pray, pray, pray.
Saint Paul, the Blessed Mother, St. John the Baptist and other Saints throughout the ages disagree that God isn’t bothered by sins of the flesh. Or, try reading the Ten Commandments or Jesus’ encounters with those engaged in such sin. Sins of the flesh involve exploiting another person as an object as well as disobeying Divine and natural law. And, yes, pride is worse. But, sexual sins are tied to other, deeper root sins. Besides, Pride Worse, should we pride ourselves on committing lesser sins and try setting up different lists of sins, and sin as long as it’s a sin that’s not near the top?! Compared to Hitler, Mao or Stalin, we’re all pretty good. Compared to the Saints (not to mention Jesus), not so much. Come on, man, I only stabbed the guy twice. It could’ve been worse. I could’ve kept stabbing him. Are we in a race to the bottom?
God loves all His children very much. He does not want us to sin. Sin destroys body, mind, and soul– and a life of sin has horrific consequences. That is why God sent His beloved Son, Jesus, to earth, to teach us and to die for our Salvation– so that sin will be vanquished, and we will have the chance to follow Him, and can hope to enter Eternal Life with Him, in a loving, Eternal union, in Heaven.

me and pride worse– Sin is a complex subject. A good priest, or a good Catechist, teaching good classes, can explain everything in detail to you both. The more one learns, the better one can prepare for Eternal Life.
Recently, a terrible situation occurred at so-called “Catholic” University of San Diego (USD), when about 100 students protested a speech on Nov. 11, given on campus by Kristan Hawkivs, President of Students for Life. Her posters also were torn down, prior to the event. Shame on USD! They ought to be required to remove their so-called “Catholic” status. I recall the days when students at a Catholic college or university were required to take two years, at least, of classes in the Catholic Faith.
I would love to know if there are busses running from SoCal to the March.
Glenn, there are many groups of pro-life young Catholics, from many locations, who hire big busses to transport them to the SF Walk for Life, each year. I am sure they would love to have anyone come and join them! If you are older, maybe your local parish, or the Diocese, would know of a pro-life group that you could go with, on a bus, to attend the SFWalk for Life. All of these groups would surely love to have as many participants as possible!
Glenn, there may be a group of young people from a church or college or youth group in your area, that is hiring a special bus to take them to the SF March for Life! You might check and see, especially with pro-life groups in your Diocese. There are churches in SF that also may house and feed meals to out-of-town groups of participants.
