Drag show spoofed

SD on the QT, a column of “almost factual” news in the April 3 online version of the San Diego Reader featured a satire of the news about the drag show sponsored by the University of San Diego. The Reader is owned by Jim Holman, one of the officers of California Catholic Daily, Inc.

MESSING ABOUT IN THE CHOIR STALLS, FOUNDERS CHAPEL, USD – Last year, the University of San Diego added “gender identity” and “gender expression” to the university’s Equal Opportunity Policy and Policy Prohibiting Discrimination and Harassment. This April, USD raised up that equality by hosting a Transgender Awareness workshop and a Day of Silence to call attention to anti-LGBTQ bullying.

The school also sponsored a drag show hosted by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a gay activist group famous for donning old-style nun’s habits (a form of drag known as Holy Disorders).

By all accounts, the event was a huge success, and was capped off by a mock “altar call” in which closeted students were invited to approach the stage and accept themselves “for who God made them to be.”

The school was so pleased, says the group’s spokesnun Sister Mouthboom, “they asked Head Sister L. Majorum if we would like a permanent place on campus. A place that would serve as both a safe space for LGBTQ members of the USD community and a catalyst for the kind of theatricality that has been a hallmark of Catholicism since forever. They already had a facility picked out: the old Society of the Sacred Heart of Jesus convent from the scary days when USD was the San Diego College for Women.”

Sister Mouthboom continued, “We’re grateful for the opportunity to reach out to such a sexually repressed community. But frankly, they need us more than we need them – have you seen those suburban churches? Felt banners and folk music – it’s all so horribly tacky. The nuns don’t even wear habits any more!”

Renovations to the old convent are slated to begin next month, and the school is hoping for a grand opening celebration near the beginning of the Fall 2012 semester. “They’re not sure about all the funding yet,” said Sister Mouthboom in a rather candid aside, “but maybe the diocese can take up a second collection at Mass for ‘those who are discerning.’ People in the pews just eat that stuff up.”

We need to remove and close down this school, we can not hand over the beautiful buildings to them! If not at least remove the church and the words Catholic from it! or remove those who have infiltrated these great evils!

But immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is fitting among saints. Let there be no filthiness, nor silly talk, nor levity, which are not fitting; but instead let there be thanksgiving. Ephesians 5:3-4

This whole thing is very SICK, especially that picture. This is what Our Lord suffered for on Holy Thursday and Good Friday? Hell might be full, but there is always room for one more, especially those that are suppose to be Catholic. Lord have mercy on us and waken us up from the ‘sleep’ of the evil one that has over-taken us. +JMJ+

Students of USD, do not be deceived by the contradictions spoken by the approval of your present administration. A higher authority has spoken: “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor sexual perverts, nor men who defile themselves with men, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Cor. 6:9-10).

That Holman has chutzpa, also the Truth of the Holy Spirit behind him. If one cannot recognize what is, has really happening at USD, perhaps they can see it in the exaggeration of humor. Go Jim! You have lots of folks supporting YOU:)! and not the administration of USD.

Dear Brothers and Sisters-I have seen two things that are extremely heartbreaking to me in reading the thoughts of why many USD students support the gay and lesbian events on their campus this week. The first is no fear of satan or of hell. I don’t say this to be mean, but satan’s greatest tool is our disbelief in him and his desire to remove us from the Lord’s goodness. Secondly, there is no empathy for Jesus in these events; no one fears offending our Lord and Savior. Yes He embraces and loves all sinners, but in our mocking of the goodness He created in our humanity and sexuality, we are mocking Him, our Creator and Savior. It is not a coincidence that these events are taking place in the holiest of days liturgically because they remove the attention of what Christ did to save us from sin and the results of original sin to glorification of the flesh in a perverted manner. When we glorify creation over the Creator we glorify satan and mock Jesus. I am not angry that USD is holding these events, I am extremely troubled and sad that we are deepening the wounds of Christ in His agony of love for us. I will be praying for USD over the weekend as I meditate on the Passion of our Lord. God Love You.

15 years ago a friend and I attended a “Gay” meeting at USD, to find out firsthand what was happening on campus and to write a letter to the president and other officers. At that meeting, led by a panel of people with same sex attraction and “straight” people, (married with children), mostly elementary school teachers, their purpose was made clear to not only have acceptance at USD and throughout CA, but to impose the homosexual agenda at every level, including kindergarten. I had an opportunity to quote part of P 2357 from the Catechism and ask, “Who gave you permission to hold this meeting so opposed to Catholic teaching on a Catholic campus?” I was attacked with not only vile language but had people standing all around me, screaming and hate filled like they were straight from hell. I knew i was one second away from being beaten. Someone called Security who when they came in, warned ME that I would be put out if i didn’t shut up. The evil from the homosexuality agenda is well organized and has been for a long time, no surprises here. The only answer is prayer and more prayer. Poor Bishop Buddy, who would be aghast at what has happened on USD campus.

This is my alma mater. I believe in donating to schools that help create Catholic leaders of tomorrow. I wanted to be associated with a school with such a mission. I also see the USD honor roll of donors, some of them are same-sex couples. Less than 1/2 of students are Catholic. As I say good-bye to USD, my alumn donations say hello to JP Catholic University & Thomas Aquinas College. USD if want to be of this world, stop dragging the Catholic name with you.

Who is responsible for allowing such trash? The Jesuit arrogance and conception of dragging the church down to their level of such sophistication? I really wonder if the Jesuit Order should be disbanded again as it was before or simply throw out thouse not supporting the Church.

Are we supposed to glory in mocking these people, and stoop to their level? They are to be pitied more than anything, and we need to pray for them. Their obstinency in this grave sin will get them all into hell faster than anything. The most pitiful thing that I found about this event is that students at USD, instead of listening, and trying to understand that we faithful Catholics cannot agree with this, they turned their eyes away from God, and mock His primacy as Creator, and Jesus as Redeemer. What happened to their gifts of the Holy Spirit, one of which is discernment? If they were to call upon the Holy Spirit, and ask that He help them to use those gifts that were imparted to them in Confirmation, they could see without the scales on their eyes at present, that participating in this shameful display of denying the dignity of every person is what is at the heart of our opposition. People who struggle with same-sex attraction are not to be applauded, but assisted with their struggle. They should be re-directed toward Jesus, toward the Rosary as a means to understand themselves, and to the sacraments to help them bolster themselves in their struggle. They must deny themselves, as must we all, and that means to denounce the obsession with same-sex activity, must denounce those sins of the flesh, which drag expresses and celebrates, and to repent of those sins and that life style. It is not a glorification of the person, but a degradation of the very creativity of God. He did not make them that way, they CHOSE to live and act that way. They might have a struggle, but tomorrow is Good Friday, when Jesus took up His cross and died to this world, only to be glorified and resurrected on Sunday. THAT is the focus of our lives. None of us should forget that. We must pray for these pitiful people, and yes, the people in charge should hang their heads in shame, for denying the dignity of the person as they were created, male and female with this shameful event

This is an abomination! No words can describe the disappointment I am feeling. This is so blatantly out there that how could our church officials not do anything about this, why are thy not speaking up!

Catholic Joe-Another good school to consider donations to is the Franciscan University of Steubenville. The professors there take an oath of fidelity to the Pope and Magisterium and like TAC and John Paul the Great University foster Sacramental Growth in its students. You can designate a donation there for a young man discerning his call as they have a wonderful pre-theolgate program. God Love You.

Sadly, USD has apostasized from the Catholic faith like 99% of so called Catholic universities. These colleges were founded by faithful Catholic men and women to teach the Faith and now have become bastions of sin. How long must we scourge Our Lord and spit in His face?

Just as a point of clarification. USD is not a Jesuit school. It is an independent “Catholic” school. Before it was co-ed it was composed of a diocesan-administered men’s university and a women’s college run by the Religious of the Sacred Heart. It has never been Jesuit. So, as abominable as that order is, the blame here is squarely on the Bishop of San Diego, the Provincial of the RSCJ and the rest of the Board of Trustees.
