The following came from one of our correspondents on April 14.
Despite the pronouncement of the Vatican’s Congregation for Education that its two prior drag shows were a scandal, USD held its third drag show on Thursday, April 10.
The master of ceremonies for the event was the local professional transvestite/drag queen Tootie Nefertootie. His website reveals him to be a gay activist who aggressively promotes same-sex marriage.
For his last diabolical selection of the evening, Tootie lip-synced the lyrics from the song “Good N’ Evil” by Linda Eder:
Good and evil –
And their merits –
Men have argued through history –
As well they should!
My philosophy
Any child can see –
“Good is evil –
And therefore
All evil is good”
Tootie stripped off the black robe but kept on the goat-horned headdress with a skimpy outfit. The headdress resembles the satanic symbol Baphomet, usually portrayed as a half-human and half-goat figure. The
goat-horned image of Baphomet is the symbol for the Church of Satan.
The day following the drag show, during his Friday morning Mass at Casa Santa Marta, Pope Francis warned us that the Devil still exists and that he doesn’t want anyone to follow Christ. Also, in another speech on Friday, April 11, Pope Francis recognized the importance of gender when he made the following statement: “it is necessary to reaffirm the right of children to grow up in a family, with a father and a mother capable of creating an ideal environment for their development and emotional maturity.”
An article from the official Vatican News Service, Zenit, entitled “Gender Is Not A Choice”, illustrates some of the problems that result when society accepts the position that gender is malleable.
The drag show concluded with a student representative of USD Gay Pride thanking “the school for letting this happen…[because]…as you know some people may find this conversation uncomfortable…[however]…this is a testament to our…Catholic identity and our mission and values as a Catholic school to promote diversity and inclusion.”
The USD officials present at the drag show (some of whom participated as speakers and judges), again publicly maintained the university’s party line that the Catholic Church actually endorses “gender nonconformity”. Donors listed at the bottom of the program include Urban Mo’s, part of Mo’s Universe, which is a group of gay restaurants and bars in Hillcrest.
It looks a whole lot like San Diego has no bishop, doesn’t it ? If there is one whose responsibility it is to defend the faith in the San Diego diocese, he’s not doing his job and needs to be replaced as soon as possible.
Perhaps the bishop is missing his crozier and looking for it so that he could fend off the wolves in sheep’s clothing.
I agree Ted. I am very disappointed. This is holy week and its disturbing to have to know that this is being allowed on a Catholic campus once again. It looks like our Bishop here is not saying anything to show us that he condemns this. There is a lot of silence and we are not reading anywhere that the Bishop is condemning this in some way. Haven’t heard a thing. It is very discouraging.
So what now? How much more action can the Vatican take to firmly guide its sheep to the truth and stop this more of this none sense.
Totally agree Ted. He needs to be removed pronto. The University should be stripped of the Catholic title along with the other schools who promote Satan and all his evil works.
The “modernist” bishops that were spawned at the close of VCII, for the most part, have lost their faith…a few good ones, a whole bunch of horrible ones…turning to these so called “shepherds” of the Church, is often futile, worse than futile, because THEY will never return to the TRADITONAL teaching of Holy Mother Church…they spend more time spewing social-justice mumbo-jumbo and “tolerance” for the evildoers who delight in buggery and sacrilege!…why?…because many of these bishops have clearly lost their faith…they are not holy, humble, nor even savvy enough to administratively run a diocese/archdiocese…this is not an indictment against all the prelates of the church, just a disproportionately LARGE number of them, who masquerade in a purple/red zuccheto and vestments…all the while ruining the faith of thousands…maybe more…with liberal swill, modernism and heresy…I love my Catholic faith…and like St. John Fisher in England, who was the ONLY bishop who embraced the crown of martyrdom, rather than lose his soul to appease a syphilitic madman, who was drunk with temporal power and consumed with lust… yes, the debauched King, named Henry…I too will hold fast to the teaching of Holy Mother Church…not the ambiguous poison that so many bishops peddle to the detriment of their immortal soul…
This is one of the best combox posts I have seen on any Catholic page, bar none.
The University of San Diego is just another fake Catholic university.
I agree with Ted. Where is the Bishop???
More signs the end of days may be near. Apostasy has once again reared it’s ugly and demonic head. Domine, miserere nobis. +JMJ+
To put it bluntly, Catholics are no longer Catholic. They are free spirited Protestants at best, like the Unitarians. The Pope was commanded by Christ to feed His lambs, and tend His sheep; bit none of this is happening. There is NO order, and No discipline. The only thing visible is extreme chaos. Everyone is a self appointed Pope, and there is no obedience. Satan and his devils in hell are having a field day, while the saints and angels in Heaven are weeping in sadness. I know God will not be mocked, and soon His divine vengeance will be revealed. This scandal is responsible for the loss of many souls. Our Lady told Sister Lucia that more souls go to hell because of sins against the flesh, and this horrifying event is proof on how widespread sin has become in our world. Kyrie Eleison.
Father Karl-Thank You! it’s so refreshing to hear this from a priest! You are obviously well versed regarding the message of Our Lady of Fatima. There has been another very visible decline in society to a lower level (if possible!) even in the last year or two. Now, we also seem to have more chaos coming out of Rome. Until the Consecration of Russia is done by a pope with all the world’s bishops, on the same day-this apostasy will continue. Most likely though it will be “in the end,” as O.L. said..After the anihilation of many nations. Too bad, because as you say, God will not be mocked much longer. I wonder if it will be a stumble into WWIII over Ukraine? Or as Blessed Elena Aiello said, an invasion of western Eurpoe, including Italy in a sudden way by Russia? Or will God strike with his own “fire from the sky” as predicted at Akita Japan…We must all stay close to God and pray for the pope and the true Consecration of Russia to be done. I thought it would be Pope Francis when he had his pontificate consecrated to Our Lady of Fatima by the bishops of Portugal last May. But now, he sometimes seems bizarre…May God help us!
I’m a Faithful Catholic Fr. Karl…….please don’t speak with such a broad brush…..better to say “many” Catholic’s have become protestant…..not “all”.
Actually many of the Catholics like myself are becoming rather suspicious of our bishops and priests who seem more in tune with socialist tenets than representatives and protectors of our Catholic faith. As an example, we ask and continually get rebuffed when we question why so-called Catholics like Pelosi, Sibelius and Biden are permitted to take communion when the fact is that before and after confession their stance is continually pro-abortion and pro gay marriage? This is in violation of our sacrement of Confession whereas it is promised by the sinner, “to go and sin no more”. This is heresy in our midst. Any wonder why Catholic Universities are becoming rather tolerant of sinful acts and why many Catholics are no longer supporting the faith?
A very holy priest, who has since died, once mentioned that the bishops of San Diego could be termed: Hero, Zero, and Nero. How right he was!
The non action by the ordinary of San Diego is outrageous. Before Vatican II, even to think or to plan such a sordid event would have been dwelt with properly. But having a false sense of liberty, everyone believes in doing what they want. The silence of the Catholic Church is deafening in letting this ungodly event happen. Because of the lack of leadership of the bishop of San Diego, many souls will be lost, and the faith of many Catholics will be severely weakened. Ave Maria Purrissima!
The University of San Diego is unique it is diocesan owned, where is Bishop Flores? These are very sick people who need to be institionalized
If you look on angelqueen.org for today’s posting, you will see what happened on Palm Sunday in Minneapolis. The priest was in a grotesque costume ‘celebrating’ (? ) Mass. Another priest ‘consecrated’ stones and rocks to be used in sweat lodges. The more insane in sounds, the more it is probably true. The Catholic Church is no longer holy, nor Catholic. It is becoming another pagan religion, celebrating humanism and diversity, and NOT honoring God.
Thanks again Father! I don’t know how you feel about this, but one way of “holding on” to the faith in these faithless times is to seek out a Traditional Latin, Tridentine, “extraordinary form” Mass. Thank God for Pope Benedict and Summorum Pontificum! The real mass offers real catholicism in isolated (but growing) pockets-complete with many youg families with mutiple children…..The more Catholic attend this Mass, the more the true church will recover. Just a suggestion based on my own experience.
Spreading John Paul II’s Theology of the Body is the response necessary.
Baphomet? Looks more like Maleficent from the upcoming movie “Maleficent,” fitting for a drag show.
I believe most if not ALL Jesuit universities and colleges have a gay week during which lurid and lascivious drag queen events have been occurring for many years.
I hope people are beginning to recognize that the Church’s system of governing itself is deeply flawed. Bishops exercise no oversight (the root meaning of the word is “overseer”–it’s their job) and are often times directly or indirectly perpetrators of the problem (as in this case, where the Bishop of San Diego sits on the Board of USD, or in the case of the Religious Ed Congress and Abp. Gomez which we read about here year after year). In turn, no one is overseeing the work of the bishops and all of the bishops look out for and protect each other. Until some working structure of accountability for bishops is established, this chaos will continue. Meanwhile, most faithful either don’t care enough to say anything or they operate in some dreamworld where “poor bishop” must not know what’s going on in his own diocese.
“Sin goes in a disguise, and thence is welcome; like Judas, it kisses and kills; like Joab, it salutes and slays” — George Swinnock
The obvious objections…the immorality, the sheer evil character of the ‘entertainments’ aside…I find this behavior excrutiatingly and pathetically embarassing, not just for its juvenile and shallow content but, dare I say, dated and silly display of mediocre and unimaginative ideas. This was all done in the seventies (ho hum) and even then it was tasteless and unappealing . These people remind me of those sleazy, grade B (or to be honest, ‘F’) movies made in the fifties with Egyptian dancing girls in gold lame’ halter tops and hip hugging bloomer pants meant to shock and titillate but only looking ridiculous and dated. This sort of sordid tackiness is just too, too awful for words. I suggest they take their show on the road to small pig farms in some remote mountain region of France where it will pass as comedy like something from Jerry Lewis. It it weren’t so creepy and sick, it would be laughable. Who is running that school, anyway…Busby Berkely?

It appears there are some nonCatholics on the staff. Then again, the same could be said of the “Catholic” members of it too.
It is so sad to read that my Alma Mater is allowing this offense to occur on it’s grounds. By attempting to remain “neutral” and not show social bias, the administration is showing bias to those parents who chose USD for their children for it’s Catholic tradition. For those students who chose USD for it’s Catholic influence, you have truly misguided them by this event, by showing them that Catholic’s do this everywhere. This is clearly NOT the case. As the administration of a Catholic University, you are given the job and also the vocation to lead young students (and the whole surrounding community) closer to Christ, to know HIM and to love HIM, and to follow HIM. You are negating that vocation through these actions. Make no mistake, that costume and what it represents, is NOT intended to represent anything other than the EVIL ONE. I am pulling all financial support to your university as an alumni. May our Dear Lord, as He continues on this journey of HIS PASSION this week, continue to shower you with the LOVE of HIS sacrifice and the enduring promise that you are HIS child since baptism, and belong to HIM
I really don’t think this Fr Karl is a Catholic Priest, what Catholic Priest in his righteous mind would talk about the Church publicly as fr. Karl has… He would have been punished by the Church right away. I just think he is someone pouring more gasoline to the fire… He is saying that the Catholic Church in no longer Catholic???? What????? I would love to find out what parish he is in? Who his Bishop is? What Diocesis he belongs to? Because instead of defending the Church he is just torching it. What real priest does that on social media? Or for that matter, publicly?
And where does Father Karl err? He is telling the truth 100%. It is hard to hear, but it is the truth. Things are terribly wrong in the Church, it would be disingenous to say otherwise. Do you think this travesty would have occurred prior to Vatican II?
Fr. Karl is defending the Church, Inez, which is comprised of far more than the hierarchy of the here and now. It is the Body of Christ. When someone you love is mortally wounded or sporting a festering wound, covering it up with a velvet cloth and pouring perfume to disguise the smell is not charity.
Love, true love, often hurts as it reveals that which is dangerous to the health of the body. And often the body doesn’t like it because the diagnosis is frightening and the proscribed treatment is painful. So defending the myriad Judases within will only spread the idea that being a Judas is just fine. But Judas kills, Inez, despite being an Apostle – or rather because of it as the closer one can get to one’s target, the easier it is to subdue.
Wow, spoken like a person who actually attends a Roman Catholic Church. too bad she has distanced herself of her own free will from it.
Ann, I see your Anonymous criticizer has struck again!
He just demonstrated Alinsky’s “Rules of Radicals” rule # 4; “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” as well as, rule #5; “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”, not to mention, rule #8; “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.”
Ann, you are obviously a threat to him! Keep up the good work!
He/she sure is being consistent if nothing else, Tracy. But at least he/she seems to understand that I really do come from a position of one who actually attends the Roman Catholic Church.
Perhaps one day the wisdom of “by their fruits you will know them” will settle in so Anonymous can put it together that where I attend Mass is indeed the Catholic Church and that’s why the fruits are what they are. Can’t get lemons off a palm tree.
Here’s to a holy Holy Week!
There is one, holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. It is the Church united with the Pope.
If you do not believe this you are a schismatic, a heretic or an apostate. All of these are mortal sins.
Indeed you are correct, Anonymous. That is why you should take up the issue with inconsistencies between doctrine and practice regarding schism, heresy, and apostasy with the Vatican instead of perpetually knocking what you yourself have admitted sounds like Catholic fruit – that is me.
The seemingly anti-Catholic fruit resulting from that which is in full communion – like the University of San Diego for instance – is the problem. Unless of course, you take following the rules to the point of losing the Faith as paramount. But that’s your call to make.
God bless.
You seem to confuse me with other posters.
Your post makes no sense.
Of course, my post makes no sense to you, Anonymous. You cannot seem to grasp the logic behind giving yourself a discernible name by which other posters can distinguish your writings. Or even accept any culpability for confusion.
But that’s okay. You following me around CCD is moniker enough which is why I address you directly as if I know you. And your issue, full communion and the fruits thereof, is something you really should take to prayer and the Vatican. As in, how do you get non-Catholic fruits off a Catholic tree and vice versa. The answer could be, Anonymous, that the branch you erroneously brand schismatic may actually be a sold part of the Catholic Church, you just cannot see the connection for the modernist obfuscation in your eyes.
So look to the fruits and what is, my friend, instead of stopping at the why, why, why. God bless.
You are a flatterer, Anonymous. And you do me credit and facilitate many graces for me. Thank you and God bless for at least acknowledging the message.
As Anonymous has once again successfully distracted us from the initial damaging post which started this discussion in the first place, I thought it might be beneficial for us to recall what Fr. Karl said on April 15, 2014 at 5:59 am:
“If you look on angelqueen.org for today’s posting, you will see what happened on Palm Sunday in Minneapolis. The priest was in a grotesque costume ‘celebrating’ (? ) Mass. Another priest ‘consecrated’ stones and rocks to be used in sweat lodges. The more insane in sounds, the more it is probably true. The Catholic Church is no longer holy, nor Catholic. It is becoming another pagan religion, celebrating humanism and diversity, and NOT honoring God.”
God bless you, Tracy, for doing what needed doing.
By their fruits you shall know them, Anonymous. Respond to the reality of what is actually going on. The rampant loss of faith and the subsequent honoring of man in place of God.
Maleficent, Baphomet, doesn’t matter; both are evil. The costume the drag queen wore and the song he lip-synced clearly celebrated the demonic, and should have had absolutely no place at a “Catholic” institution.
I appreciate all the agreement, but the fact is the situation is not one any of us should have to deal with. The laity can complain in these forums and it may never get to the apostate bishop. We also need to protest to him loudly but with the respect he doesn’t deserve. And the papal representative for the USA should also hear from those of us who cry out for Catholicicsm in the Church.
Martin Luther was quoted to me by a priest as saying from his death bed, “I rid myself of one pope, and got thousands.” Our bishops here in America need some discipline from headquarters. It’s far past the time for that. We need to demand it in writing, with specifics as to why, and with respect in our tone as we make these demands. If they are ignored, we just persist.
Inez brings up a very valid point…I too have read fr. karl’s posts and am somewhat puzzled by the rhetoric he presents…I would remind those readers who are aware of canon law, that if a man “pretends” to be a Catholic Priest, he can incur ipso facto excommunication…if you are NOT a Catholic Priest, I would strongly advise and urge you to stop referring to yourself as one…this is sacrilegious and grounds for excommunication. today is “Spy Wednesday”…and Holy Thursday is almost here…
I was ordained a Catholic priest over 34 years ago in Rome, Italy. There were three bishops at the ordination ceremony. I have never been suspended, and I have not broken any canon law, and there are NO canonical procedures against me. For my entire priestly life, I have tried to serve God with joy and gladness. Liberals have always detested me, mainly because I have been traditional and conservative all my life, in religious as well as in political areas. To accuse me of being a charlatan is calumnious.
Only you know the truth of the matter…and God…if you are a Catholic Priest…I agree with EVERYTHING you have said…if you are not…well…you will answer for this subterfuge…despite being very traditional…
Duncan Father Karl is a priest. He does us a great contribution here with his comments, he gives excellent guidance on many subjects at hand and all have been faithful.
OK, Inez and Duncan let’s hear it: on three; one, two, three… “We’re sorry Fr. Karl.” Good. Have a Blessed Lent and a Happy Easter!
I believe Inez and others might call into question your priesthood, not from malice, Fr. Karl, but from the complete shock of how you address the real issues abrading Holy Mother Church instead of offering up a saccharine, lets-get-together pep talk. You’re a rarity. Much like a priest friend of mine found it odd that he was gaped at years ago in Mexico because he was wearing his cassock.
While some flocked to him for an actual Catholic blessing… other’s likely dismissed him as someone on his way to a costume party or a member of some new age fringe group.
So thanks again for being a witness of Truth WITH a collar!
Gaped at in Mexico?…it stands to reason he would have been “gaped” at due to the “anti-clerical” laws that were in place for decades in Mexico, dur to the masonic government…even now, after the lifting of these anti-clerical laws, most priests are still too frightened to wear a collar in public, most priests and religious ONLY wear their cassock, collar, or religious habit, on the grounds of the Church or monastery that they live/work in.
By jove, Duncan, you’ve got it. The formerly restrictive laws in Mexico are precisely why folks gaped. Perhaps your ‘gaping’ at Fr. Karl is based on your being unaccustomed to priests speaking the truth, the full truth, as priests are called to do by way of vocation.
What you seem to understand the priesthood to be is a conciliatory group that only looks to the positive and doesn’t mention that which is uncomfortable (they keep their cassock in the closet). And why do many priests these days behave in the way to which you are accustomed? Because they are afraid of being castigated for embracing the faith and truth fully, for speaking out against the injustice of a skewed ‘social justice’ that would elevate man above God. (Some have actually embraced the notion as good and what the Catholic Church is all about – but that is not the truth.)
So yes, you are gaping because Fr. Karl has the wherewithal to correspond to grace and speak the truth (wear the cassock) that shocks you despite the prevailing misconception that proclaiming the Truth of the Catholic Church is somehow triumphalist or elitist or wrong. If only Pope Paul VI has embraced this grace sooner, there could have been much heartache avoided in folks being misled. But God brings good out of evil, even the evil of procrastination, hesitation and the turmoil it causes. Even St. Peter doubted and that is no slander, but a lesson of what not to do.

“American pro-family activist LaBarbera arrested in Canada
REGINA, Saskatchewan, April 14, 2014 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A prominent U.S. pro-family activist who was detained by the Canadian Border Services Agency before being allowed into Canada on appeal was arrested late Monday on the campus of the University of Regina. Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality was arrested along with Canadian pro-family activist Bill Whatcott….
Prior to entering Canada, LaBarbera had been targeted by a makeshift group known as “Intolerance Free Weyburn,” which pressured the government to deny him access to the country. LaBarbera was detained at customs for three hours and underwent an intensive search of his belongings, including his computer and cell phone, before being initially denied entrance into Canada. After an appeal the following day he was allowed in to attend his speaking engagement with the Saskatchewan Pro-Life Association.

I have read Fr. Karl’s posts…and pretty much agree with the “lions share” of his statements and perception of the present “state of the Church”…his use of the word “all” is a bit much…how bout “many”…”many” might be a better, more apropos fit…
As you say, “many” would be appropriate at the consecration of the wine, also!
Happy and Holy Easter!…Resurrection Sunday has arrived…Praise be Jesus Christ!…Tonight I will watch my favorite film of all-time…Ben-Hur
God Bless you all…
Thank you Duncan and God bless you too
I was wondering if Fr. karl and Ann Malley are “sedevacantists”…are you?
No, Duncan. Thanks for asking :)
