Dear Pro-life friends,

Because certain people are trying to block the efforts of sidewalk counselors to save mothers and babies from the horrors of abortion, we are keeping the dates, times, and locations of where we are counseling confidential. The notes below may come from one or more locations during the week. Some specifics have been omitted to protect the identity of people we counsel.

Report from the second and third week of March, 2019

Two young Hispanic women (late teens and early 20s) were heading toward the abortion center when two sidewalk counselors intercepted them with material. They stopped very briefly to listen and take all the material. The counselors walked with them a short distance as they headed into the clinic, letting them know why the counselors were there, and politely asking why they were there. They said for a “pregnancy check,” so the counselors mentioned the pregnancy resource centers that can do this for free. The women politely thanked the counselors and proceeded in.

About 45 minutes later, they were observed leaving the building and were walking past the counselors. They asked the women why they were leaving and the younger one (high-school age) stated she was indeed pregnant, and they were going home to talk with her parents. One of the counselors asked her if she was keeping her baby and she said “Yes!”.  Her friend said she “couldn’t do that in there” and was very supportive of her. She shared that she was in her early 20s and had a young boy at home, and how happy she was with her life and child.

The pregnant girl seemed very relieved, with nothing but smiles on her face. The counselors spent some time telling her about all the support there is out there, and that she made the “right” long term decision. The girl seemed very confident that her family will support her in her decision to keep her baby.

On a different day, a woman in her late 30s brought a young lady in her mid-20s to the abortion center. The counselor had a chance to get material into the hands of the young lady as she hurried in “to make her appointment.” She  stopped and listened politely, but briefly, thanking the counselor and hurried in.

After she went in, the counselor had a chance to speak with her older friend as she got out of the car, and she also took material. About 30 to 40 minutes later, the young lady reappeared out the front door with some paperwork in hand. The counselor could see was holding an ultrasound printout of her baby. The counselor tried to ask her if she had made a decision to keep her baby, but she seemed excited, just smiling and hurrying off to the car where her friend was waiting, not answering the question.

A few minutes later they drove out. The young lady was still all smiles, and the older lady driver was smiling too, giving the counselor a “thumbs up” as they drove off.

We don’t know all of the details of this second encounter, but the outcome was a blessing! Please keep up the prayers !

God bless,
