The following comes from a Dec. 17 release from the Cardinal Newman Society.
Roughly 150 students from Thomas Aquinas College (TAC) in Santa Paula, Calif., recently participated in a choral “flash mob” at the Pacific View Mall in Ventura, Calif., the College reported.
The performance is one of the many ways students from faithful Catholic colleges across the country are preparing for and celebrating the upcoming Christmas season.
The large group of undergraduates reportedly burst into song in the mall, performing three pieces—“Angels We Have Heard on High,” “Oh Come All Ye Faithful,” and “Go Tell It on the Mountain”—to “surprised customers and employees [who] seemed to delight in the performance,” according to the College.
The flash mob, held for the first time last year, is on its way to becoming an annual tradition, according to the College’s news release. Last year’s video of the event was reportedly covered on EWTN’s World Over and received more than 50,000 views online.

Best school in the U.S.
Public witness to keeping Christ in Christmas, bravo TAC students!! If any of you Cal Catholic readers have the opportunity to attend mass at the Thomas Aquinas College Chapel, take advantage of it. The chapel is the heart of the campus and reverence prevails. Confessions are heard before and after every mass.
Thanks for the link.
Beautiful !
Congratulations to the Thomas Aquinas participants.
That was really great. Lots of curiosity, but “Go Tell It On The Mountain” seemed to rouse the most enthusiasm. A few more verses and they might have had “liftoff”! Thank you, Thomas Aquinas College for that wonderful example.
Dear Jesuit Universities…………
Here is the example to follow!!!
Great first step.
Beautiful! That last young women singing “Go Tell It on the Mountain” certainly knows how to hit those high notes.
And all the others did a great job too. Thank you.
Too bad the media in our country only chooses to cover mobs of angry and violent folks when most of us would much rather see the delightful Christian witness of joy and peace portrayed in this flash mob of upstanding citizens of the U.S.A. Bravo. Bravo. Bravo. Let us acknowledge the King of Kings on the occasion of His birthday with joyful songs unto the Lord. Wonderful.
This is so lovely. God bless all youth for they need our prayers.
The website “Dymphna’s Road”, a Catholic blogger, has a video of a Byzantine Arabic carol and chants afterward and a video of the Latin hymn called “Guadete”. I found it enjoyable, and some of you might also.
Thanks Ann T. I appreciate you for sharing this with me.
You are welcome, Abeca.
