Father Cameron Faller, vocations director for the San Francisco archdiocese, gave a nine-minute homily on April 5, Palm Sunday at Star of the Sea church. Father Faller cited Bishop Fulton Sheen’s observation that fallen-away Catholics consider God to be a boring, uninteresting, taskmaster.

But, Father Faller, said, the opposite is true. God has made Himself relevant with Christ’s incarnation. Christ who did the opposite of self-quarantine, who wanted to touch lepers.

“President Trump said this upcoming week will be one of the worst weeks of this virus. We’ll be consumed with news this week. And it’s good for us to stay on top of the news. But I would encourage you to allow your life this week to be consumed by the good news of the Gospel.”
