The following comes from a November 12 story on LifeSiteNews.com.

Remember having to watch those sex-ed videos as a teenager about puberty or pregnancy that made everyone in the classroom just a little uncomfortable? Now imagine that while your local Planned Parenthood abortion advocates are teaching a class of young children about having sex, with taxpayer funding from Obamacare, that they dare to show a video of what really happens during an abortion. How horrible would that be?

The satirists at The Onion imagined such a scenario in a recent “news story.” Middle school children “squirmed uncomfortably and grimaced in disgust” when shown the “educational video” titled The Miracle Of Abortion during health class.

“It was so sick,” The Onion quoted 13-year-old Ethan Grimm as saying. “When it came out, it was all slimy and such a gross color. Ugh. We’ve all heard about how abortions work, but I didn’t expect it to be so disgusting in real life.”

While depicting the reality of how gruesome and traumatic such a video would be, the “article” was from The Onion, and there were of course lines meant to be ironic and humorous.

“I couldn’t even watch when they showed the doctor examining the uterine contents,” young Jessica Coleman, who found the abortion process unbearable, told The Onion. “I think I still want to have a kid aborted when I get older, but after watching this video, I think I’ll only have one.”

At last the teacher explains the purpose in showing her students the graphic reality of an abortion procedure:

“I recognize it’s uncomfortable for kids their age to watch, but as they start to become aware of their own sexuality, it’s important they see what actually happens to the female body during abortion.”

“They’re going to have to learn about it some time,” Flannery continued. “And while they may find abortion unpleasant now, I always assure them that when they become sexually active adults and start thinking more about their own lives and children, they’ll realize what a true miracle it is.”
