Posted Thursday, April 12, 2012 4:33 AM By Catherine Abortion is The American Holocaust! Day 38 “Today we pray for a cloud of gentleness to surround every abortion facility. May everyone feel calm and loving.” I do not think that during the Holocaust that the Jewish Rabbis would have ever joined a kickoff Interfaith prayer service that called for a cloud of gentleness to surround every crematorium death camp while people were still being cruelly murdered inside. I don’t think the Jewish Rabbis would have asked everyone to be calm and loving or to give thanks that Hitler was celebrating his right to be pro-choice. Would Rabbi Naomi Steinberg have ever had the unbelievably detached sounding gall to stand outside of Auschwitz to tell everyone being burned in an oven to feel calm and loving? This is when you know that human nature can repeat history and that those who should know better are now the ones who are influencing others to also repeat the same evil and then refer to this horrific evil as doing good. Hitler was pro-death choice too. He also thought he was being intelligent and wise for eliminating those who were deemed unwanted. Should a tiny baby, as he or she is being ripped apart in the womb with cold steel forceps, feel calm and loving? Should a baby girl or baby boy being burned alive while also swallowing the burning saline solution down their tiny lungs feel calm and loving? There was no such thing as a cloud of gentleness hovering over the Nazi death camps and there is no such thing as a cloud of gentleness that masks the true evil of abortion. Go ahead Humboldt ministers of death and convince yourselves that you are different than those who helped to murder innocent Jewish children in the death camps of Germany. It is very obvious that you have completely lost every sense of the true meaning of the word gentleness. Each one of you has invited a very dark cloud of evil to surround your hearts and minds. You mock God and you have lost all reasonable sense of decent humanity that you might have once had. |
Posted Thursday, April 12, 2012 5:41 AM By St. Christopher If the subject was not so dire, the schedule for the “Clergy for Choice” would be a hilarious routine for Saturday Night Live; something like the “Springtime for Hitler” production in “The Producers”. Just asking, but is there anything here about salvation? |

Posted Thursday, April 12, 2012 6:12 AM By Life Lady God will not be mocked. Please everyone stay as far away from this place as possible. Whatever God is going to do to show His displeasure we all should stay as far away as possible. I am thinking of the incident with the priests of Baal and Melchizedek. If you recall that incident then you know what happened to the false priests of Baal. Amazingly these people must not read their bible. If they had they would know better than to mock God in this way. |

Posted Thursday, April 12, 2012 6:24 AM By Ted Wow ! Where to start pointing out how absolutely sick and ghoulish this is ? A “Maggie” award ? Tribute to Hiler’s Holocaust inspiration – Eugenics ? That’s what “Maggie” was all for. Praying for “gentleness” at abortion facilities ? If you want them to have gentleness shut the damned things down and turn them into coffee shops !!! I hope and pray that they someday realize that “gentle abortion” is a classic example of an oxymoron. Of all the sickness in our society, this points out the worst. When human life is not respected and valued over all other goods, we’re headed for destruction. |

Posted Thursday, April 12, 2012 7:37 AM By JMJ Thanks and Praise be to God, that He doesn’t listen to the ‘prayers’ of sinners, unless, of course, they are praying for repentance, called the Sinners Prayer. What domestic violence could be even compared to the violence of torturing and killing an innocent child? “Save and legal” abortions? A mother strapped down onto a cold metal table, with a butcher violating her, can be calm and loving? As we all know: GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED, and those earthquakes are getting closer and closer. +JMJ+ |
Posted Thursday, April 12, 2012 7:47 AM By Susan The so-called “War on Women” is a sham lie to distract women from the reality that they have fallen for the false gods of materialism, pride, selfishness and sin. There IS a war on women, but it is not what the media claims. It is the ongoing assault on the very nature of women to be mothers and wives, to be nurturers and to support men. The BIGGEST war on woman is the denial of God’s revealed truth about His own mother, Mary, the Queen of Heaven and our own spiritual mother, who has been granted the power and mission to crush the ancient serpent, satan, who is deceiving the world with these lies. Until we DO GOD’s WILL and follow His mother’s advice as HE wants us to, we will continue to have these most unfortunate episodes in “Christianity.” The very ones accusing the Catholic Church of ‘making things us” are the ones doing just that. This woman ‘priest’ looks ridiculous to me. God, help us, Mary, lead us. |

Posted Thursday, April 12, 2012 9:06 AM By Dan More from the brochure: to Christians: Day 14: “Today we pray for Christians everywhere to embrace the loving model of Jesus in the way he refused to shame women.” And then: Day 25 “Today we pray for women who have been made afraid of their own power by their religion. May they learn to reject fear and live bravely.” That is (Day 12), “Today we pray that women know the power of their stories. May they find their voices and tell their truths.” : Day 28: “Today we pray for the women who travel hundreds of miles to get an abortion. May their determination be rewarded with spiritual strength” Day 7: “Today we pray for the 45 million American women who have had safe, legal abortions. May they stand tall and refuse shame.” As if to crown themselves for their abortion support, the flyer at day 39:”Today we pray for a contagious love to overflow our spirits.” Their message? I think Day 25, quoted above, is the bedrock principle guiding this group. Christiantiy wrecks women by putting them on a guilt trip over this abortion thing. In fact, Christianity is hateful: Day 24: “Today we pray for an end to hateful language that diminishes the dignity of women.” The hateful language would be pro-life advocacy, which comes largely through Christians. Such advocacy constitutes “discrimination agaisnt women” (Day 31). As something of a diabolical contrast, the summit of a woman’s personal and spiritual growth, is to be free from this shame and self-determining in all matters, but especially relating to abortion . The ultimate blasphemy: (Day 18) “Today we pray for all the staff at abortion clinics around the nation. May they be daily confirmed in the sacred care that they offer women.” This is the only reference to the word “sacred” in the brochure. But if abortion constitutes “sacred care” then abortion is a “sacred” rite, an essential component of a women’s power of self determination. I feel like I am with Eve in the garden, listening to the serpent. |

Posted Thursday, April 12, 2012 9:59 AM By td I live a block from this PPfacility. Sick. They haven’t had a single soul on the sidewalk here. Thank God. They have a brand new facility. The old facility can’t hold a renter and word is it is “possessed.” No doubt. Pray with us. We are a small 26000 person town dominated by nearby Arcata’s Humboldt State University – which is notoriously Prochoice Proabortion. We need your prayers |
Posted Thursday, April 12, 2012 10:46 AM By John Mimicking? No, they are making a mockery of this powerful movement…or trying to at any rate. This desperation ploy is a clear sign that PP is terrified at the impact that quiet, peaceful, non-confrontational protest has. I have participated in 40 Days for Life for 5 years, helping to establish the protest in my own diocese. The abortion clinic people didn’t know how to handle the quiet, solemn vigil that contrasted with the stereotypical screaming protesters waving graphic photos of aborted children. It was this new approach that began to win people over; I saw it when passerbys would stop and ask what I was doing. More than once, I created an ally. When the PP crew launched counter-protests, they were often tawdry affairs. Small, disorganized, confrontational, and disrespectful. Now they seek to co-opt liberal churches. I hope that the local bishops are planning a unified and strong counter to this. I hope that bishops have sent letters to every parish that will explain that no member of any parish in the diocese is to participate in this mockery. |

Posted Thursday, April 12, 2012 3:33 PM By Anne T. I wonder if the words of Mother Teresa to the effect that the worst obstacle to peace in the world is abortion will be mentioned fondly at this prayer and contemplation campaign. Also, I wonder if Susan B. Anthony, the feminist who despised abortion and thought it was an abuse of women and children will be mentioned kindly at this “prayer” service. I think we all know the answer to that one. If they do even mention them it will be only to twist their words and leave out anything that condemns their behavior concerning abortion. |
Posted Thursday, April 12, 2012 4:58 PM By JLS Life Lady, Melchizediek??? This priest was a priest of God, who met Patriarch Abraham. The name means “king of peace”, and he had nothing at all to do with the Baal worshipers who were confronted by the Prophet Isaiah, many many centuries after Abraham. |
Posted Thursday, April 12, 2012 8:49 PM By JLS Imam Salim Chishti, good to know the intent of the religious ritual; yet, the point of this thread is the mockery of religion by these deranged people. As you likely know, abortion defies nature as well as God. |
