An in-depth recognition of the preciousness, value, respect and dignity of life will be celebrated at the University of San Diego April 24-28 as the 11th annual L.I.F.E. (Life is For Everyone) Week is held and hosted by the University Ministry-sponsored Students for Life organization.
The purpose of Students for Life’s weeklong celebration is to educate the USD community on life issues and, as a Catholic university, to express an appreciation for our self-worth and, at the same time recognizing and supporting the worth and goodness inherent in all those we encounter — especially the vulnerable among us.
Each day of L.I.F.E. Week will spotlight a different life issue: Immigration, Homelessness, Domestic Violence, Abortion/Adoption and Suicide.
Daily events incorporate speakers, an educational campaign, service opportunities and prayer experiences. There will also be displays set up around campus to provide pertinent statistics and information to the campus community.
A contest exhibition of photos, which were entered with the theme of “Life Through Different Lenses,” can be voted on by USD students to choose their favorite.
