Homilies/Priests The priests very good. The community stresses, among other things, its fidelity to the Magisterium and Holy Father. The homilies are solid; priests are orthodox and not afraid to preach the truth on any topic. Fr. Pasquale loves golf, so don’t be surprised if you hear a golf story in his homilies.

Liturgies/Music Liturgies are reverent. Music depends on the Mass; cantors, organ and choirs. The music program is good, featuring traditional hymns and chant, with an occasional new song written in the tradition of the old.

Fellow parishioners Anglo, all Masses are in English. (The nearby Our Lady of Guadalupe Church serves the Hispanic community.) There are many large families at the parish, as attending are many of the tutors at nearby Thomas Aquinas College, where large families are considered a blessing.

Additional observations St. Sebastian began as a mission in 1889, and was established as a parish in 1896. The current church building was dedicated in 1956. It is located in Ventura County and is part of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Much of the area is agricultural; there is also still oil pumped in the region.
