CalCatholic seeks submissions to ‘News from the Trenches’
Are you a sidewalk counselor or prayer warrior at an abortion site in California? A member of an active parish pro-life group? Engaged in any pro-life activity in the Golden State that merits attention? Then we want to hear your stories.
California Catholic Daily provides a forum to highlight your struggles – and victories — in the pro-life trenches in our weekly feature, “News from the Trenches.” And we welcome submissions from anywhere in California.
Ideally, submissions should be between 350 and 800 words – though we often lift the length rule for a particularly compelling account. And we need photos to accompany your submissions, provided as jpg files.
If you want to see your pro-life work featured in CalCatholic, which reaches thousands of readers every day, please submit your story as a Word or rtf attachment to an email, along with any photos attached as a jpg file, and send to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
When preparing your article for submission, please keep in mind the five Ws of a good news item: Who, What, When, Where, Why. If you are not an experienced writer, don’t worry. Our editors will use their journalistic skills to help you craft your article.
“News from the Trenches” is our way of showing the world the work of pro-lifers “in the trenches,” news often ignored in the secular media. Your pro-life work serves to inspire others – but they can’t be inspired to life-saving action if they don’t know about you.
So please keep us apprised of your activities – and let us share the news with the world.

Posted Friday, February 17, 2012 10:21 AM By Laurette elsberry Ron, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte is now the operator of the San Francisco abortuary. Their income tax returns are available easily on the Internet. Some of the executives earning over 100K per year, and board members, are listed by name. Just google their federal employer identification number (EIN), 94-1583439, and you can access the Guidestar report that will provide an enormous amount of information on the Mar Monte operation. By the way, the highest wage earner shown for the most recent year covered (7-1-09 through 6-30-10) is Jesse (James) Joplin. This past September 20 Dr. Joplin surrendered his license to the Medical Board to avoid a disciplinary charge. He is not allowed to practice medicine.

It is a wonderful way to give money to your charity instead of it going to google. It is my understanding that google is VERY liberal especially regarding homosexuality!
Posted Saturday, February 18, 2012 9:52 PM By Kenneth M. Fisher Today, February 18, we encountered even more harasement from the Anaheim, CA Planned Barenhood (Planned Parenthood) workers, Beside the sign that they say justifies their keeping me form parking in the handicapped parking spot in front of their door (I have a valid handicap permit), they have now posted several signs stating ” PRIVATE PROPERTY NO TRESPASSING No trespassing, right to pass by permission and subject to control of owner. Civil Section 1008, Youth Fund of Southern California. We need to find out just who is the owner of that building in which Planned Barenhhood is just a tennant. If in fact “Youth Fund of Southern California” is the legal owner, we need to find out if they actually authorized the posting of such sign. CRCOA, Inc. would appreciate any help we can get to check this out. We are in the Anaheim, CA phone books. God bless, yours in Their Hearts, Kenneth M. Fisher
