We ask for your prayers this Holy Week for Archbishop Emeritus George Niederauer, who is quite ill. While he is not able to receive visitors, he will appreciate the comfort of our prayers as we join our hearts and minds with his.
Archbishop Niederauer was the 8th Archbishop of San Francisco, from 2006 until his retirement in 2012.
Story from Archdiocese of San Francisco.
To Thomas Edward Miles, who posted via Facebook above:
As a regular reader of California Catholic Daily, I can tell you that CalCatholic has regularly covered Abp. Neiderauer’s health issues since he was first admitted to a hospital in Rome some months ago. Cal Catholic has regularly posted updates as they have become available from the Archdiocese of San Francisco. No, Cal Catholic is not “late to the story.” If you pay attention, you’ll see that the latest item from the archdiocese bears the date of April 11. Is the archdiocese also “late to the story”? Or would you rather not be updated?
Archbishop Emeritus Niederauer has my prayers.
