Last night, the Jurupa Unified School District Board approved a settlement agreement between Jessica Tapia and the Jurupa Unified School District to settle her lawsuit for $360,000. [Jurupa Valley is 10 miles west of Riverside.]
Last year, Advocates for Faith and Freedom filed a lawsuit challenging Jurupa Unified School District in the Central District of California after the wrongful termination of public school teacher Jessica Tapia for her religious beliefs. Her termination came after the school district refused to accommodate Jessica’s religious beliefs, which conflicted with the school district’s harmful policies, such as referring to students by their preferred pronouns and withholding information from parents regarding their child’s gender identity….
“Today’s settlement serves as a reminder that religious freedom is protected, no matter your career,” said Julianne Fleischer, legal counsel for Advocates for Faith and Freedom. “If the school district’s actions were legal, no teacher of faith would be qualified to serve as a public school teacher. Jessica’s story is one of faithful courage. She fought back to ensure her school district was held accountable and that no other teacher has to succumb to this type of discrimination.”

We had the churches, schools, various youth groups, Scouting (now ruined), sports organizations, Little League, various civic organizations, and many charity organizations, all working to make a good country. Nobody ever in their right mind, would lie, and call what is virtuous and right, “wrong,” and what is evil, “good.” And boy, if you ever committed a mortal sin– probably on a Friday or Saturday night!– run to Confession, ASAP — and definitely–no Holy Communion.

It’s not a matter of religious freedom. It’s a matter of proper grammar and biological truth.
If the argument against preferred pronouns and transgender ideology and queer identities is solely or even primarily based on Christian faith, we will lose the argument.
Stick to science: it’s male/female binary only, with a very small number of hard to determine cases. You cannot change your sex. Pronoun gender should match the biological sex of the person being referred to.
Up until 2017, everyone agreed about pronoun usage. It’s not a religious thing.
Things change.
It is OK to acknowledge that there are people with conditions that make determining their gender not as simple as looking between the legs.
They think it is important for their pronouns to match what is between their ears.
Gender is not separable from sex. The pope has taught that. If you are of the male sex, you are male gender. If you are female sex, you are female gender. Anyone whose “between their ears” doesn’t match their sex has a mental illness. Let’s call things what they are. That’s okay.

It is all His Divine handiwork– magnificent! If we look to God, and to Sacred Scripture– yes, the Truth is all there!
