President Donald Trump’s HHS nominee Robert F. Kennedy has been meeting with senators ahead of committee hearings and a Senate vote on his nomination. And pro-life Republicans have asked him questions related to his problematic pro-abortion positions in the past.
In response, Kennedy says he has more in common with pro-life Americans than they might think – saying he thinks there are too many abortions. Kennedy is also confirming he will fully implement President Trump’s pro-life policies.

“The Trump administration was a fearless champion of the unborn during his first term,” Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) told The Daily Wire on Tuesday morning, ahead of his meeting with Kennedy. “Health and Human Services is at the center of the national conversation about the value of each child. I look forward to meeting with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to talk about his vision for how HHS will continue the first Trump Administration’s policies on life.”
And Senator Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma, who met with Kennedy on Monday, said in a Tuesday interview with The Daily Wire that he addressed his concerns head on: “I said, ‘Where’s your position? I just gotta know, because you’ve been all over the map on it.”
Kennedy responded, according to Mullin, “I think there’s too many abortions in the world, let’s just start there. It’s not that I don’t value life, I value life, I just look at it a little bit different in certain circumstances, what we’ve been through as a family.”
“Where does that put you when it comes to pro-life?” Mullin questioned Kennedy. “He goes: ‘I’m serving at the will of the President of the United States, and it’s his policies that I will put forth. And so we may not agree on every single issue, but we agree 100%, we shouldn’t even be having abortions in this world anyways. But my policies are not what I’m pushing forward, it’s the president’s, and I think the country knows where the president is on that, and so therefore, that’s my position.”
“I’m good with that,” Mullin told The Daily Wire. “If he’s willing to say that, I have no problems with him becoming Secretary of HHS. And I will support him completely, even as passionate and as pro-life as my wife and my family and I are, I believe Bobby is still the right person for this position.”
As LifeNews reported yesterday, Kennedy assured senators in multiple meetings on Capitol Hill today that he will ensure President Trump restores a host of pro-life policies that will save babies from abortions.
In a post on X, pro-life Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri detailed the pro-life policies Kennedy assured him would be back in place after Trump is inaugurated as president.
“Today I got to sit down with @RobertKennedyJr – we had a substantive discussion about American healthcare & his plans to take on Big Pharma. We also had a good discussion, at length, about prolife policies at HHS,” Hawley said.
“He committed to me to reinstate President Trump’s prolife policies at HHS. That includes reinstating the Mexico City policy & ending taxpayer funding for abortions domestically,” Hawley explained. “He supports reinstating the bar on Title X funds going to organizations that promote abortion.”
“He pledged to reverse the Biden Admin’s Section 1557 rule and also said all of his deputies at HHS would be prolife. He told me he believes there are far too many abortions in the US and that we cannot be the moral leader of the free world with abortion rates so high,” Hawley added. “RFK also pledged to reinstate conscience protections for healthcare providers.”
Those are some of the key pro-life policies an incoming administration would be expected to restore after Joe Biden and Kamala Harris took them all down to make way for their radical pro-abortion agenda.
Kennedy Jr. had been running against Trump for president but endorsed Trump after he suspended his campaign. During his campaign, Kennedy ran on a platform of reforming the health care bureaucracy, especially in light of failures associated with COVID.
The big problem pro-life Americans had with Kennedy is that he supports abortion and repeatedly said he supports no limits on abortion. Earlier this year, RFK Jr. gave an interview in which he confirmed he supports abortions up to birth. Kennedy will need to set those views aside to ensure that HHS enacts all of the pro-life policies that it can to protect babies from abortion.

The supreme court rendered a unanimous decision that will scare every liberal — ““Section 1155 is a quintessential grant of discretion –The Secretary ‘may’ revoke a previously approved visa petition ‘at any time’ for what the Secretary deems ‘good and sufficient cause.”. What this means is all of the visas out there based on fraudulent asylum claims or other claims clogging the court system could be revoked by Trump’s appointees in the government after January 20. They have broad powers to revoke the visa petitions. And it wasn’t for “good and sufficient cause” .. it was for what they deem as “good and sufficient cause”. And that leaves a lot of room for a lot of supposed visas to go *poof*.
Pro life means pro America and pro borders and pro immigration law. We can’t protect lives if we can’t secure our borders.
Prolife people are like any special interest group. They want their pet cause to be the most important thing in government policy and funding. They are no different from climate change activists in that respect. “What will you do for climate change?” “What will you do for prolife?” “What is your stance on color pollution?” “What is your stance on prolife?” “What pro-DEI policies will your implement?” “What prolife policies will you implement?” Just let the leaders lead. You elected them, they are going to run things. Just let them. Stop wasting their valuable time by asking them where they stand and what they will do. Just leave them alone. If you don’t like what they did, then four years later you can vote for the other party.

There is a vast difference between objecting to the slaughter of innocent babies and the violation of their mothers and wanting to ban natural gas stoves, for example. Do you really think tax rates and homicide are moral equivalents?

I’ve met prolife fanatics who think their cause is the be all and end all of their lives. Someone said that Lila Rose is less active now in prolife work. Then you should all be rooting for President Biden to commute the death sentences of almost all federal prisoners, as he is reported to be considering.

Why did Biden commute the death sentences for all except three? It’s obviously politics and not morals or he would’ve commuted all of their sentences. And, why didn’t he give them pardons for any gun and drug crimes they committed or may have committed for more than a decade, like he gave his son? They are the sons of some parents too.
