California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo has opened an investigation of vandalism towards a College Republicans pro-life display….
The display, set up by the school’s College Republicans chapter, included signs and 972 pink crosses to represent the number of abortions committed by Planned Parenthood every day.
Sean Senn, secretary of the Cal Poly CRs chapter, stated that he and other chapter members had created the event to draw attention to these abortion deaths, however; it was halted when counter-protesters attacked the display.
“A few hours after we set up, some pro-abortion advocates began to stomp, rip, and throw away the pink crosses and steal our other pro-life signs on display,” Senn stated in a news release.
He went on to say that during the acts of vandalism, he and other organizers of the demonstration remained calm and called for security to handle the situation.
Senn alleges that campus security did not respond to their calls for help and did not assist them in stopping the destruction of their property. He further alleged that rather than track down parties at fault, the school suspended the club’s registration status….
The above comes from a March 11 posting on the College Fix.
These progressives never learn…if these CR’s choose to pursue this on a civil rights basis, they’ll win. Hope they go forward with a complaint against Cal State.
So, let’s see how “education” now works: these students’ display was vandalized and they were the ones suspended.
What has happened to our public (and Catholic) universities?
No wonder people are fleeing our once-Golden State.
Where did you see anything about them being suspended?
In the story.
They were not suspended. It says that the clubs registration status was suspended.
Further in the article it says it was an issue unrelated to this incident.
The actual article referenced at the bottom of this article gives a very different take on the incident, and the suspension. I don’t know the whole truth; nevertheless, the original article should be read.
yes, read the whole thing
As a Cal Poly-SLO alumnus, I am appalled and upset on how situation was handled. Nonetheless, God will make this situation right.
I just read an excellent Catholic news item. The Diocese of Culiacan in the state of Sinaloa in Mexico has announced that any politician who just voted in favor of a new abortion bill will be denied Holy Communion, plus, denied the privilege to be a godparent. Good for that diocese and its bishop.
Virginia God will make every bad situation right not just this situation. Look up for your redemption draws near. The day of the Lord is at hand. Those supporting planned parenthood are all doomed if they do not repent. Repentance is the key to their salvation.
