Pro-LGBT Jesuit Father James Martin rushed to the defense of German Cardinal Reinhard Marx Saturday, after the latter proposed changing Catholic teaching on the morality of gay sex.
After Bishop Joseph Strickland of Tyler, Texas, admonished Cardinal Marx, calling for his resignation, Father Martin suggested that Cardinal Marx had not contradicted Catholic belief in any significant way.
“Bishop Strickland of Tyler, Texas, says that Cardinal Reinhard Marx, former chairman of the German Bishops Conference has ‘left the Catholic faith,’ not for denying the Trinity or the Incarnation, but for saying that the church needs to rethink its position on homosexuality,” Father Martin declared on Twitter Saturday morning.
In his statement, Father Martin seems to imply that only a rejection of established Catholic teaching on doctrinal matters — and not morals — constitutes a serious departure from Church teaching.
Cardinal Marx’s proposal that the Church can simply reverse its millennial, biblically based teaching on the immorality of sodomy is, however, a bridge too far, as a helpful April 1 explainer in The Pillar points out.
Within “the context of the cardinal’s remarks — his hopes to see the Church effectively upend its entire understanding of human sexuality, natural law, and revealed divine truth in the Scriptures — the wording might change, but the doctrinal teaching of the Church cannot reverse itself,” The Pillar declares, in reference to the cardinal’s proposal to change the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
The Pillar explains further:
Stating that the Church has the power to declare, for example, homosexual acts — or other sexual acts outside of marriage — to be healthy expressions of human love, and advocating that the Church do so, runs contrary to what the Church says it proclaims “based not on isolated phrases for facile theological argument, but on the solid foundation of a constant Biblical testimony.”
As Australian Cardinal George Pell said recently in regard to similar proposals by the German bishops to adopt a more permissive approach to gay sex, the Catholic Church cannot simply choose to reverse its moral beliefs, because such a position represents a “wholesale and explicit rejection of the Catholic Church’s teaching on sexual ethics.”
“Not one of the Ten Commandments is optional; all are there to be followed, and by sinners,” Cardinal Pell said in his statement. “We cannot have a special Australian or German version of the Ten Commandments.”
Pell continued, “This erroneous teaching not only rejects the ancient Judaeo-Christian doctrines against homosexual activity, but undermines and rejects the teaching on monogamous marriage, the exclusive union of a man and a woman.”
For its part, the Catholic Church teaches that same-sex attraction “is objectively disordered” and that homosexual acts are immoral.
“Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that ‘homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered,’” states the Catholic Catechism, adding that under no circumstances “can they be approved.”
The above comes from an April 2 story on Breitbart.com.
Last May Pope Francis rejected C. Marx’s resignation over the sex-abuse crises in Germany. P. Francis’ final words: ” Recalling that the Bishop of Rome, Successor of that Peter who had said to Jesus, ‘Depart from me, for I am a sinner,’ can understand him [Marx] well, and invites him to listen to the answer that the Nazarene gave to the Prince of the Apostles: “Tend my sheep.” ” Knowing C. Marx’s views, I wonder why P. Francis did not use the occasion to accept Marx’s resignation and thus forestall further trouble for the Church with the Cardinal’s homosexual advocacy, which advocacy is very much tied to the abuse scandal. It might also have put a damper on the schismatic tendencies of the German hierarchy. One can only speculate P. Francis’ motives; if anyone knows more this reader would be glad to get an education in this matter.
Schism is right over the horizon….
I think you mean it’s “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”
It’s always about getting gay sex approved with these people. Really, it’s boring after all this time that they’ve been trying and trying to conceal what they really want and why they want that particular thing approved. Think about it. Think about why they want gay sex approved. Yep, that’s why.
Tell me this, Fr. Martin, if you read this site: if gay sex is so awesome, why didn’t Jesus teach his disciples that it was awesome? Would have saved thousands of years of grief and misunderstanding. Why are you one of the few people in all of human history and in all of Church history to be so right about gay sex being awesome, and why are you better and more right than Jesus?
” why are you better and more right than Jesus?” answer= gays are notoriously narcissistic, but you cannot talk reason with a man who believes the anus is a sex organ
Jesus didn’t teach that gay sex was awesome (nor does Fr. Martin). But neither did Jesus condemn homosexuals for their orientation, and call them (as some have done in these comments sections) worse than Putin or collaborators with Satan. It just didn’t seem to be something he felt the need to talk about. Instead, he talked about healing the sick, siding with the poor, blessing those who seek peace, and above all, condemning self-righteous religious folk. Seems like we should be talking about those things, and doing something about them as well.
We were doing that until the rainbow brigade got uppity and declared war on normal life. Just like Ukrainians were going about their lives until Russia invaded their country. When someone else starts a war, you have to fight back before you can return to normal life.
How about this? Dial the LGBT movement back to 1990 and keep it there and keep quiet about it, and then we’ll all get along. Until then? War. They started it.
By the way, nobody condemns them just for their orientation. You’re as dishonest as Fr. Martin is.
Matthew 5:17-20
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.
Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place.
Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
I tell you, unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
YFC, if you’ve read the statements of Pope Francis and the Catholic Bishops of the United States, you’d have to admit that the problems cited at the end of your post have been repeatedly and vigorously raised. Perhaps you’re just too much of a “one-note-johnny”, always pressuring the Church to teach that homoerotic acts are not, in the objective order, gravely sinful but rather can be grace-filled acts of love. Were the Church to agree, it would contradict the revealed word of God contained in BOTH the Hebrew Scriptures [Old Testament] and the New Testament. Some object that the stern condemnations of homoerotic acts in the Book of Leviticus, et. a.l., cannot be seen as moral teaching but only as the then societal norms. The late, great Archbishop John R. Quinn an acknowledged scholar [and ALWAYS insistent upon Christian charity toward the same-sex oriented] took on this last false claim and rejected it entirely in a scholarly article. You might want to read it, and reflect on it.
Might it be that readers reject your ideas re the equivalence of same-sex acts to normal human acts because of the dishonest tone of virtually all your posts? That was the conclusion of the CCD Moderator, expressed in a recent post. The Moderator was transparent: he told readers that you were living in an objectively sinful same-sex “marriage”—not due to ignorance, because you are a college professor and can be taken to be well aware of the the Church’s teachings on this subject as well as the moral theology supporting them.
No one will take you seriously until you admit that your views on homoerotic acts and same-sex marriage separate you from the Catholic Church. I will never [God forbid!] judge the subjective state of your soul. But while you may be my “fellow”, I can’t acknowledge you as “my fellow CATHOLIC”. By your own words and deeds you’ve made that impossible.
When have I ever opined on homo erotic acts on this website?
I knew saint John Quinn and discussed these issues with him and I agree with your assessment. I know he issued a pastoral letter on the subject and have been trying to find it for years. Of course that was a decade before the internet. If you have a link, I’d love to see it.
YFC, you disclosed loud and clear your belief that homoerotic acts are moral when you entered into–and still live in–a homosexual “marriage”. These actions disclose your true convictions more clearly than any words.

This is how deceptive Fr. Martin is… he tweeted/shared an article about using puberty blockers on minors. Then when it causes a ruckus he later tweeted that sharing the article doesn’t mean he agrees with it. He just wants to hear all sides, you see. Oh, that’s his cover. He’s just sharing articles, he doesn’t agree with them. Wow, when was the last time he shared an article that supports church teaching? Never. He only tries to undermine Catholic faith. Like a slithery, slippery snake, that man is. Venomous too.
The Catholic Church has never issued a statement on the use of puberty blockers. So how could he be undermining the Catholic faith?
“The Catholic Church has never issued a statement on the use of puberty blockers. So how could he be undermining the Catholic faith?” cton, puberty blockers to aid the gender confused are a violation of the Natural Law. There is no need of a specific proscription against them, although the Vatican would be wise to render such a determination, given the faddishness and foolishness of this despicable movement.
This black preacher is more Catholic than Cardinal Marx and James Martin put together:
https://creativeminorityreport.com/blog/2022/04/04/you-cant-transcend-gods-creation-nc-lt-gov-mark-robinsons-rousing-speech-about-transgender-movement-resurfaces/
It appears Rev. Martin thinks most of God’s 10 Commandments are optional or that, at the least, we need to rethink about them (and maybe they’re even hurtful?!). Throughout Scripture does God tell people to “rethink” what He commands them to do? Remember Jesus telling the person caught in adultery, “Go and rethink this”? So, killing a baby, lynching a Black, embezzling money, lying to one’s spouse, giving one’s parents the finger, trashing the environment, cheating, committing adultery and other things might be okay (after being re-thought), as long as one doesn’t try to add or subtract persons to/from the Trinity or question they hypostatic union?!
Where did Martin get his Catholic education?
Let’s love people enough to speak the truth to them (even if it doesn’t make us popular). Sin destroys. God’s ways lead to life.
Now we move from the lie that he supports gay marriage or gay sex to the lie that he thinks God’s 10 Commandments are optional.
Maybe you’re mind reading skills aren’t as good as you think they are.
I do not endorse Father Martin but the real issues can’t be dealt with because so many people distort what he says or turn it into a personal attack.
“I do not endorse Father Martin but the real issues can’t be dealt with because so many people distort what he says or turn it into a personal attack.” If you do not endorse F. Martin it would be appropriate, given the context of the rest of your remark, to know why. If you can, in addition, cite an instance where he comes down against gay marriage and/or gay sex, that too would be appropriate here to support your claim that to suggest otherwise is a lie.
The omissions are a legitimate criticism of his work and ministry.
You don’t need to make things up.
Have you actually read his book on LGBT? I have. He’s actually insistent that gay People listen to the Church. I’d give you a quote but I gave my copy away.
There is a big difference between listening to the Church and obeying the Church. Fr. Martin never tells homosexuals or transgenders to obey Church teaching regarding marriage or homosexual acts or bodily integrity. To the contrary, he has stated time and again that Church doctrine about homosexuality does not have to be obeyed because it hasn’t been “received” by homosexuals. How’s that for circular reasoning. “Oh, I obey all the Church’s doctrines that I accept. If I don’t accept a doctrine, then I’m not bound to obey it.”
Fr. Martin is a heretic. I’ll say it to his face if I ever see him, but I don’t go to the LA Religious Education Congress so I’ll never see him face to face.
Is that his building a bridge to Sodom book?
I have not read any of his books. There has always been something about him that made me wary. From way, way before Building a Bridge.
Cton neither Jimmy Martin or his “ministry” are legitimate
Bishop Strickland and Cardinal Pell are 100% correct! Whoever serves as Pope should demand resignations of all bishops like Cdl. Marx! To serve as a Catholic prelate, is a huge responsibility for Christ– and prelates like Cdl. Marx, Cdl. Hollerich, and many others, need to be sternly rebuked, kicked out of their sacred roles of leadership, and replaced by true, authentic, excellent Catholic prelates. If they fail to repent– then, excommunication should be the next step. Fr. Martin should also be sternly rebuked and silenced, and kicked out, if he fails to repent. Many of our current top Catholic leaders are faithless to Christ, and have failed tragically in their sacred responsibilities for Him.
Repent from what?
Nobody has to be punished because the Internet misinterprets something they say.
You know how people with traditional sexual mores are called “homophobic” and their comments are called “hate”.
Make sure you don’t do the same thing to others.
cd– You need a good brain to read and understand the great danger your Catholic family and children are in, with terrible, immoral Catholic leadership. You have a great responsibility to protect your family from the wolves among the sheep. Read only the true and excellent Catholic news stories from reputable Catholic news services, such as EWTN. Lay people all need to stick together against evil– and protect our children.
Failed leadership-you are falling for a temptation. Temptations of pride can be very tricky.
No, cd. You need to see clearly, the tremendous danger our Church is in! It is a fact, not personal opinion! Hopefully, you do not blindly attend and support lectures by Fr. James Martin, S J., nor attend gay blessing ceremonies by wayward bishops in your church, nor support the teaching of a false, immoral Catechism at your parish, that includes gay sex and gay “marriage,” taught as equal to the Biblical man-woman Sacrament of Marriage, for children learning their Catechism! Do you also throw rotten eggs at saintly Pro Life volunteers in your parish, working to save the lives of unborn children, down at Planned Parenthood?? Wake up!
No, cd. You fail to read and understand the material. Our Church is a great big responsibility. You fail to understand that. You blindly accuse your fellow church-goers of a bunch of nonsense you made up. Not smart.
Failed Leadership-of course, I do not do those things.
Have faith and pray for humility.
If you cannot handle being admonished, how can you admonish others?
If you like EWTN and Cardinal Pell there is a 13 minute interview from the segment called “On the Record.” Cardinal Pell shows how to stay in truth. Please watch it.
cd, you really should listen to “The Bishop Strickland Hour” podcasts. He tells the truth! Historically, the Catholic Church has been through many eras of corruption and abuse. Best to follow good Church leaders, and keep your family safe from the wolves among the sheep. You have no business being a fool, rebuking good Catholics who speak out about these wolves!
FL, we are not called to follow “good Church leaders”. We are called to follow Jesus Christ. In terms of the Church you are to follow the Vatican and your own ordinary. You are not supposed to be picking and choosing what beliefs you will follow and who you are going to follow. You have somehow become so misled. Perhaps this is how.
I urge you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree in what you say, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and in the same purpose.
For it has been reported to me about you, my brothers, by Chloe’s people, that there are rivalries among you I mean that each of you is saying, “I belong to* Paul,” or “I belong to Apollos,” or “I belong to Cephas,” or “I belong to Christ.”
Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?
1 Corinthians 1:10-13
Sorry, cd– Our priests at the church likewise state from the pulpit, and in church bulletins– that the wrongdoings of Cardinals Hollerich, Marx, the heretical German bishops, etc.– are completely wrong. The Catechism cannot be changed. Catholics must follow Christ faithfully– including Church teachings on Marriage and sexuality. I stand by my church on this.
Fr. Philip Bochanski, the director of Courage, International, which ministers to LGBTs, has written an important open letter calling for Cardinals Marx snd Hollerich to uphold Catholic teaching for homosexuals.
“Nobody has to be punished because the Internet misinterprets something they say.” The words of C. Marx and others are there for all the world to read. True, it would have been better to have taken, say, C. Marx’s position on a hot-button topic and considered it in light of Tradition and Scripture, so that it would be clearer whether or not misapprehensions are in play. That one cannot criticize until one first understands is axiomatic. That said, anyone who has done the hard work of understanding would be derelict if he/she did not criticize should that be required. And this has nothing to do with pride.
Fr Martin seems to be taking the way of Jesse Jackson…briefly granted relevancy by the progressive elites but in the end, lurching headlong into the abyss of the trivial.
Oh, man, in two months it will be pride month again. I’ll tell you this, I’m not going to eat gay Oreos, gay ice cream, gay Whoppers, or anything else promoted as gay during June.
I do not see anywhere that Cardinal Marx proposed changing the morality of gay sex.
This whole thing is a straw man argument/
They almost never say it explicitly, except Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich in Europe did a month ago or so. Usually they just write or speak in circumspect ways, but the outline is clear enough to deduce what they mean. There’s no reasonable doubt that what Marx and Martin want is the moral approval of gay sex by the church. They could correct that charge immediately by saying that’s not what they want, but they never correct their accusers, do they? Hmm…
Fr Martin (whom I am not a fan of) has stated repeatedly that he has never contradicted Church teaching but people who hate him just say what you just said.
“We know they mean they want gay sex approved even thought they never said it.”
Straw man argument.
Read this critique of Fr. Martin. He’s at least a material heretic.
https://onepeterfive.com/james-martin-does-teach-heresy-a-response-to-trent-horn/
Don’t play the same games with words that Fr. Martin does. We’re not stupid.
I am sorry but I do not use that website.
Father Martin has never affirmed that he agrees with and supports Church doctrine about homosexuality, marriage, and genital sexual activity. The only part of the Catechism he repeatedly says he affirms and supports is the sentence that homosexuals must be treated with compassion and respect and not be subject to unjust discrimination. He ignores the rest of the Catechism yet cites that passage ad nauseam and misuses it to bludgeon people who affirm that homosexuality is disordered, that marriage is only between a man and a woman, and that employees of the church who enter into same-sex marriages should be fired for not being proper models of faith.
Now Fr. Martin comes to the immediate defense of Cardinal Marx’s claim that the Catechism could be revised [he implied] to teach something different about the sinfulness of homosexual acts, to accept them as good because “are we really going to say that this [a homosexual union] is worthless?”
Fr. Martin has irresponsibly speculated that some characters in the Gospels were gay. He has irresponsibly speculated that some saints were gay. It’s gay, gay, gay, gay all the time from him.
It’s not difficult to conclude what he thinks.
He has said that he supports all Church doctrine.
Please give a source where Fr. Martin has defended Cardinal Marx’ statement.
If you are using complicitclergy or breitbart they are not accurate.
Obviously, you do not understand what Cardinal Marx said. He never said the Church should accept homosexual acts (sinful sex acts-I assume you mean) as good.
False witness is a grave sin. Grave matter-do you understand this?
I do not like the way Fr. Martin uses his twitter and I have problems with other things that he does. I think he goes right to the boundary and as Cardinal Sarah points out, he omits things that he should say. But lying about him is a sin. Speculating on what he thinks could be sinful. I believe that you are not intentionally committing this grave sin but I cannot be sure. There may be malice in what you say, I cannot know but I do not accuse you of it.
“Guess”, you correctly observe that it’s easy to know what Father Martin is thinking. It’s even easier to know what he IS.
Hey Cton something Jimmy Martin wont do is openly come out and say he supports Church teaching when it comes to homosexuality, and that IT is disordered
bohemond, I think you are mistaken on the first part but not the second.
https://archphila.org/archbishop-chaputs-weekly-column-father-james-martin-and-catholic-belief/
He gets way too much attention. Let’s give it to the Lord and His Mother instead.
I know a lot of hot heads. They always get mad over nothing and they always lie about what the person said. They will not listen when the person corrects them or tells them that they have misunderstood them. They bear false witness by telling their false narratives to others..
They are more interested in justifying their sinful anger that in the truth. They are self-righteous people who like to think they are better than others.
They are narcissists. They are histrionic drama queens. They are people to stay away from.
cd, you are not competent to be a “judge” of the motives of all the church-goers around you– like a big fool! It is also extremely bad manners! Cardinal Marx, Cardinal Hollerich, and many others, have repeatedly challenged Church teaching on Biblical sexual morality, saying it is “outdated” and that the Catechism must be changed to accept gay sex and gay “marriage.” These clerics, along with many German Catholic bishops, have even been holding Vatican-condemned blessings of gay unions in their churches and cathedrals! And Cardinal Hollerich has a prominent role in the current “Synod on Synodality!” Cardinal Pell, Bishop Strickland, and others have been calling for the resignations of Cardinal Marx and other immoral, heretical, bad Catholic bishops. These bad Catholic leaders are a great danger to Catholic families and children! Don’t be a big fool– wake up!
Lying about people is evil. If you want to print exactly what they said, in context, that would be telling the truth.
There was a group in Germany who rebelled against the Church by blessing same-sex unions. I know of no bishop that participated in it.
The synodal path of Germany is being discussed by many and it is OK for you to discuss it, also. But you must tell the truth.
“Brothers and sisters, let us care for one another and be attentive to the temptation of the father of lies and division, the master of separation who, in pushing us to seek an apparent good or a response to a given situation, in fact ends up fragmenting the body of the holy and faithful people of God,” the pope said.
But to your point: “Today, however, together with you, I painfully notice the growing erosion and deterioration of faith with all it entails not only on the spiritual level but also on the social and cultural level”, a multifaceted decline that is “not easy or quick to resolve”, writes the Pope.
Pope Francis-June 20,2019 letter
Cardinal Pell did not call for either of those men or anyone else to resign.
Bishop Strickland put out a tweet that said that Cardinal Marx needs to resign (which is really irresponsible).
Double check your facts before you post and pray to the Holy Spirit of Truth to stay truthful and be a help to Holy Mother Church, not to harm Her.
cd, it is expected today, in Vat. II, that Catholics get involved in the Church, not just sit passively. And it looks like you have no idea in this world, how plagued the Catholic Church has become, with parishioners and church employees who practice gay sex and have gay “marriages” and children– hailed as “heroes” by the “Father Martins” and “Cardinal Marxes” of the clergy! And many are seriously demanding that the Catechism be changed! Do not passively be a victim, with your kids, to wrongdoings! We now have just horrible “Catholic” schools, like Abp. Mitty High School, in San Jose! Did you know that there are even some Jesuit college professors who have boasted of “gay slaves” in the deviant “gay leather whips,” or “bondage-dominance-sadism-masochism” cult?? They even have these kinds of horrific gay “leather” “BDSM” clubs, on campus, at Catholic universities! Even places like Walmart sell their stuff! Horrific! You need to have courage and speak up!
No need for mind reading. i just read the article above. Rev. Martin tweeted to his many readers, “Bishop Strickland of Tyler, Texas, says that Cardinal Reinhard Marx, former chairman of the German Bishops Conference has ‘left the Catholic faith,’ not for denying the Trinity or the Incarnation, but for saying that the church needs to rethink its position on homosexuality,” Father Martin declared on Twitter Saturday morning. I agree that often real issues can’t be dealt with due to personal attacks. But, it’s Rev. Martin who says we should consider Marx’s claim that the Church “needs to rethink its position” on fundamental moral issues, like those of the 10 Commandments or the teachings of Christ. Does he agree with Marx? Of course, he doesn’t say, just like when asked about his sexual orientation. He tries to be careful about not telling us what he actually believes. Rev. Martin could use more honesty and less weaponized ambiguity.
No he did not say that we should consider Marx’s claim that the Church “needs to rethink its position” on fundamental moral issues, like those of the 10 Commandments or the teachings of Christ.
Stick to the truth.
I think Fr. Martin is of concern. Not to those of us who know and practice the faith.
But for those who might think the Church is going to be something for them that it can never be.
Folks, these attacks against the church are by communist infiltrators. Get the book that details the conspiracy, “The Deep Church” by John F. McManus, Loreto Pubs.
Senior Executive Advisor of The John Birch Society, that John F. McManus?
Thanks but I will stick to the Bible and the Catechism and the writings of the Saints.
I notice on this thread how the devil works. Rather than discussing true things, lies get made up.
I assume the people doing this are “faithful” Catholics who think they are standing up for the Church and Her teaching.
Be careful with your souls.
The documents from the Synod in Germany are in German and I cannot translate them.
There is concern about some of the proposals.
I think there is grave error.
The Church will work this out.
Stay in the Lord. Do not give the devil a chance to work on you.
Pray to the Blessed Mother. Pray to the Holy Spirit.
Be at peace.
Sorry I will take active anger over an “all will be well” cowardly attitude that liberals always use, why because they want further destruction of the Church to appease their own desires.
Wake up, cd! You have no business running around chastising excellent fellow Catholics whom you do not even know, like a fool! Shame on you! We have many bad Catholic leaders in this era! And it is your responsibility as a Catholic parishioner, to keep your family safe from harm!
“You have heard that it was said to your ancestors, ‘You shall not kill; and whoever kills will be liable to judgment.’*
But I say to you, whoever is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment, and whoever says to his brother, ‘Raqa,’ will be answerable to the Sanhedrin, and whoever says, ‘You fool,’ will be liable to fiery Gehenna.”
Matthew 5:21-22
Jesus is Lord– Who says you need “anger,” to speak up against extreme evils– and protect innocent children?? It depends on the situation, of course! Christ rightly, manfully rebuked the Pharisees, and threw the blasphemous money changers bodily out of the Temple! Does that frighten you? “Just anger” is always necessary and righteous, as the Bible says, in extreme situations. You have to stand up courageously for the Lord, and don’t be afraid! We all have a big responsibility to fight Satan for Him– and protect innocent children! To be weak and passive and frightened, and allow the Devil to do anything he pleases, greatly harming the Church, society– and innocent children– is very unChristian!
This spring and summer, they are again having the Drag Queen Story Hours for toddlers and preschoolers, at local libraries. Would just LOVE to get Jesus Christ, to bodily throw these creeps out of the children’s libraries. But you can’t do that. You have to patiently pray and work hard, do all you can, and hope for change, someday. It’s even harder, with Pro Life work.
whoever says, ‘You fool,’ will be liable to fiery Gehenna.”
Matthew 5:21-22
Jesus is Lord– Sorry, but it is 100% unChristian to attack faithful followers of Our Lord. I stand by Christ, His Church, and the Catechism.
It is 100% Christian to admonish.
I agree, that is why I always speak up about those who are doing horrible things in our Church and society! You should speak up, too! Christ warned His followers that they would face many conflicts and even may be called to martyrdom. We are not called to a phony, selfish “religion of comfort,” with all our friends, on Sundays, are we!
I don’t know if most of you know this, but you can buy all the equipment necessary, for gay sex acts down at family stores,” like Walmart.
My comment of April 6th at 4:45pm, was edited. I originally placed the phrase, “family stores” in quotation marks. And I also said that I, myself, for many decades, have signed petitions, made complaints, and have talked to those in management positions, to add my voice, to try to eventually put an end to many evils in today’s world. Everyone should do this!
What equipment is necessary? Sodomy uses a germ-infested, bodily waste exit as an entrance that it is not biologically nor physically suited to be used for. That’s all you need to know about it.
Walmart and other “family-oriented” stores– tragically– sell equipment for deviant sex acts, like “leather” whips, collars, weird outfits, bondage-dominance (slave/master) sado-masochism stuff that they use– plus, all sorts of deviant sex books with instructions, pornographic books and films, etc. A horrible thing to see, in a “family-oriented ” store!
I highly doubt this. First of all Walmarts are usually found in more conservative towns. Secondly when I go home to my hometown, which has two Walmart Superstores, and I’ve seen nothing of the kind. Perhaps you visited during Halloween as many people dress up in such fear but it is very cheap and would never hold up.
“would never hold up”… do you speak from the knowledge of experience on that?
I didn’t believe it either– this was pointed out to me by a horrified friend, who asked me to sign a petition and boycott Walmart– and boycott Target, too. Target and Walmart and many other “family” stores now have LGBT sections.
Failed Leadership- since you call people “fools”” when Jesus said not to and you talk about immorality when the Holy Spirit said not to, I think you might be just a troll. You don’t take morality or holiness seriously.
How do you know so much about all this?
Will not converse about this.
What sleaze.
cd, you have no business attacking faithful Catholics who stand for Christ’s teachings. Our parish has been participating in the Synod on Synodality, recently, and one of the leaders is the immoral Cdl. Hollerich. Our priests have publicly denounced Hollerich, Marx, the immoral German bishops, and other immoral prelates, who are against Christ’s teachings on Marriage and sexuality, and want to change the Catechism, as they claim it is “outdated.” They have told parishioners, that the Catechism cannot be changed. I stand by Christ and our priests, as a faithful Catholic parishioner!
The Catechism can be changed. Pope Francis changed it concerning the death penalty.
To “can be changed”– On basic matters of our Faith– the Catechism cannot be changed. The Vatican upholds the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony as between a man and a woman only, and same-sex unions are not eligible for this Sacrament, in the eyes of God.
FL-if you are a faithful Catholic then act like it. And nobody here will “attack” you. Faithful Catholics don’t know what is in the sex toy aisle and wouldn’t know what to do with it if they did.
They don’t know what gay people do. And they know they don’t know. So they don’t talk about it.
In faithful Catholic days, females were not even told what the sin of Sodom was-just that it was really bad.
Those days can come back but not if so called faithful Catholics like you think they are serving God by writing filth.
Every Catholic and every adult in our society, has a responsibility to courageously stand up and protect our Church and society from all Satanic evils. That includes you too, cd.
I’m trying.
They need equipment? Do not explain! I do not even want to know.
Immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be mentioned among you, as is fitting among holy ones, no obscenity or silly or suggestive talk, which is out of place, but instead, thanksgiving. Ephesians 5:3-4
Just think, if a group of strong Christian leaders could all work together, and figure out how to get rid of some of the evils in this state, just think of what a different state California could someday be!
