A priest friend sent me this prayer before I went on stage. I share it in the hopes someone will find it as meaningful as I did.
“O Ineffable Creator, who, from the treasures of Your wisdom, have established three hierarchies of angels, have arrayed them in marvelous order above the fiery heavens, and have marshaled the regions of the universe with such artful skill. You are proclaimed the true font of light and wisdom, and the primal origin raised high beyond all things.
Pour forth a ray of Your brightness into the darkened places of my mind; disperse from my soul the twofold darkness into which I was born: sin and ignorance.

Jesus needs people on earth to do some things. Jesus can’t be president because he’s in heaven, so he needs to make sure a good surrogate gets in there. While Senator Vance has been disappointing on the issue of life, his positions are in sharp contrast with those of Ms. Harris and Governor Walz. Of potential vice-presidents, the new Catholic (Vance) has a much more Christian worldview that the one who publicly left the Catholic Church of his childhood (Walz). Let us pray that Senator Vance continues to deepen his Catholic faith; prayer that we should pray for all, including ourselves.

Thank you for highlighting the Dem 2024 Platform. I reread it. It has Nine Chapters and 90+ pages.
One section of Chapter Six, on page 50 deals with women’s reproductive rights. What they suggest is the opposite of the teachings of the Catholic Church.
The other eight chapters seem to me, perhaps biased, to be pretty much positive ideas for the country – increase manufacturing, create more jobs, lower prices, increase taxes on highly rich people, etc. Pablum, if any of you remember what that was.
The point is, two pages out of 90+ is a small part of the plan. So, we have to choose whether one section merits a “no” vote against the rest of the plan or if one votes for the plan despite the two-page section.
For some it is an easy choice. For others it is a hard choice.
Sorry to say it, but Kamala will be president. The cheat is in. The election is rigged and the result will be fixed. America is no longer a free country with fair elections. Take that knowledge to the bank and adjust your life expectations accordingly.
