The following comes from a June 19 story in the Marin Independent Journal.
Outraged by the Marin County Board of Supervisors’ $250,000 donation to Planned Parenthood this month in support of its new San Rafael center, about 35 people gathered Wednesday morning to protest the reproductive health clinic.
Protesters lined the sidewalk in front of the clinic at 2 H St. as Planned Parenthood staff marked their first day back in San Rafael. They had been operating in Mill Valley for nearly three years after an organizational shake-up.
San Rafael police spokeswoman Margo Rohrbacher said that for the most part, the protest was peaceful.
“There was one very minor verbal dispute,” Rohrbacher said, adding that officers who happened to be across the street at the time kept it from escalating.
In addition to demonstrating against abortion, protesters took issue with a recent Marin County Board of Supervisors’ grant to the clinic to help pay for renovations. The county grant, approved unanimously by the board, will provide $50,000 from Supervisor Susan Adams’ “community service” fund and $200,000 from other funds. Planned Parenthood spent $2.3 million to buy the clinic building and $900,000 to renovate it.
Jamie Blinn, of Tiburon, her husband Matthew Blinn and their four children helped organize the protest in front of the clinic, waving signs and garnering honks from some cars passing by. Jamie Blinn said $250,000 is a lot of money to give to what she called the nation’s largest abortion provider. She criticized Adams’ statement that the clinic will help low-income residents….

The good Catholic mom on this video, Mrs. Blinn, is THE REAL DEAL.
God bless her, her family, and her efforts on behalf of human life!
Marin county is ultra-liberal (Sen. Barbara Boxer’s home). To change the County Board of Supervisors, anti-abortion people must be elected to the Board. This will be difficult, but not impossible. Funding a campaign for an anti-abortion candidate will be arduous and probably need fund-raising from outside the County. To change the power of the Board means that religious people, including mothers and fathers, must get out there and campaign and fight the baby killers.
So, PP renovated the clinic? What building code standards did they use to renovate the plumbing and the exam rooms? According to the arguments supporting AB 980, abortion clinic building codes, they don’t have to have any special modifications of their “facilities.” So, how are they disposing of body tissue from abortions? When will it start clogging up and contaminating the city plumbing and sanitation dept? They want to decrease their remodeling costs while they increase their bottom line. They also want to employ nurse-midwives to commit the abortions because they cost less than doctors, and at the same time they are going to charge us Taxpayers whatever the state government will stand for. And Governor Brown thinks that this is the group that cares about women?
