The following comes from an Oct. 1 post on TheBlaze.com.
The Bishop E.W. Jackson, founder of Chesapeake, Virginia-based Exodus Faith Ministries, recently released a controversial video calling for African Americans to make a mass exodus from the Democratic Party. Throughout the clip, Jackson delivers stinging blows to both liberals and the African Americans who continue to support them, while decrying what he sees as a “slavish devotion to the Democrat Party.”
“They have insulted us, used us, and manipulated us. They have saturated the black community with ridiculous lies,” he said, speaking directly to the black community. ”They think we are stupid and that these lies will hold us captive while they violate everything we believe as Christians.”
Jackson went into detail in the video, taking aim at the “unholy alliance” that he sees between Democrats, faux-civil rights leaders and Planned Parenthood.
“The Democratic Party has created an unholy alliance between certain so-called civil rights leaders and Planned Parenthood, which has killed unborn black babies by the tens of millions,” he proclaimed.
On the morality front, Jackson took issue with the party’s internal debate over “God” being dropped from its platform and derided the notion that homosexuality should be equated “with being black.“ He called the later tenet of the Democratic Party an ”outrageous lie.”
“We as Christians ought to know better. Shame on us for allowing ourselves to be sold to the highest bidder,” Jackson continued, telling his fellow black pastors that they, too, would need to make a decision between supporting Democrats and embracing Jesus.

Thank you E.W. Jackson! May God richly reward you and soon bring you to the Fullness of Faith for your honesty and for your tremendous courage!
“I do not fear at all what man can do to me for spreading the truth, I only fear what God would do if I were to lie.”……St. John Bosco
“Bishop?”
He thinks he is a Bishop,Though clearly, he is not.
We can say he has come to an encounter with God, and if he is open to God’s grace, he will eventually come to full communion with the bride of Christ, and thus the bridegroom.
E.W. Jackson leads better than some of our own bishops! He has backbone! He is a bishop from the protestant sects but I like him because we are like minded in those topics in Christ! God bless E.W. Jackson! I hope that what he said moved the hearts of many good black people!
O Enlightened One, Rodda, from dictionary dot com: A bishop is “a spiritual supervisor, overseer, or the like”.
RB Rodda, did you buy and do you wear that mystical hat from the late Johnny Carson when you post on CCD?
There are several churches/congregations, etc. that use the term Bishop for their lead ministers. Most often it is seen in very large congregations or in ethnic congregations.
It really is not our place to denegrade a person of faith using the title. It is un-Christian to do so.
It speaks volumes of the failure of the bishops that this man gets it and “Catholic” Doug Kmiec and his “Catholic” minions don’t.
Careful now Judge. Most Bishops are focused on where it matters most, care of souls and formation of the laity.
Really?
American Catholics have received almost no catechesis these past 50 years – I know, I was one of them – and you say the bishops are “focused on formation of the laity”?
Catholic politicians publicly vote during the week to support baby butchering and many bishops allow these same politicians to receive and profane the Holy Eucharist on Sundays, and you say these bishops are “focused on the care of souls”?
I don’t judge anyone’s salvation. But at the command of Christ Himself it is my right – no, my obligation – to judge conduct.
Those in union with God through Christ in the Holy Eucharist are in union with the Judge, and thus can take part in judging. Even if we’ve got a log in our eye, it can be removed; besides, isn’t it easier to have someone else point out these logs in our eyes than discover them on our own? Being judged this side of death may do our souls a blessing, if we respond to it humbly.
Good point JLS and Juergensen you are correct.
Bishop Jackson now joins Rev. Hoye as examples of faith and Christian witness. Catholic Bishops: Pay attention (once you return from your travels, parties, and hard work of issuing more useless papers and doing nothing to defeat the Democratic Party — you know, the ones who really, really favor abortion, sex whenever and whatever, marriage ditto — those guys)! The Holy Ghost is everywhere, if one takes the time to look and listen.
AMEN to that!!
The Bishops quote Blessed John Paul II, perhaps the foremost Christian philosopher of modern times :
“Above all, the common outcry, which is justly made on behalf of human rights-for example, the right to health, to home, to work, to family, to culture-is false and illusory if the right to life, the most basic and fundamental right and the condition for all other personal rights, is not defended with maximum determination”.
Its not about voting Democrat or Republican. Plain and Simple. If you want a one world government or dictatorship vote for Obama. If you want Freedom vote for Romney. God help us when we lose freedom of religion which is a reality today. Wake up Catholics! Be the Church God wants us to be! Pray that voters will see both candidates for who they really are.
respect life, we have a one world global government, and will continue to have it even with a new president. Get over it and get holy.
JLS,
I happen to believe that it will take many prayers and many saints to make the change we need today. Voting for the best candidate is only the first step in our journey. We have to do our part and trust the rest to Him. The bible tells us Satan will lose the battle in the end.
It is absolutely shocking that CCD would post this story. This man is a heretic and a member of an eclessical – not a church!
One Can Encounter God outside the Church, Such encounters will eventually lead someone to the fullness of truth. Read Vatican II, you cannot dismiss truth (which is Christ) because it’s manifested outside the Church. After all Truth (God the Word) is everywhere, for those seeking him to encounter him, and thus come into full communion with the one Church.
Well said, Christopher…having rallies etc. are basically just tokens. What must be addressed is the arrogant disregard of Church teaching by Catholic politicians and gov.hacks like Sibelius who have yet to be publicly denounced by their bishops. Ths pastor’s video was excellent and I sent it to everyone on my email list. This article was excellent, wasn’t it?
Wow, what planet are you living on, FHKJ? We’re actually having to vote for a Mormon for president, and we all know how most Mormons feel about the Catholic Church. We are living in really strange times, where liberals have become bedfellows with muslims and socialists, and Christians are teaming up with one another. In a war, it’s imperative to choose sides and become faithful allies in defeating the common enemy. Keep your head on and eyes open, friend. If you hadn’t had the tremendous support of the Mormon church Calif. would never have been able to pass Prop.8. Without wonderful Christians like B.Jackson, we might not be able to defeat obama without the Black Christian support…plus he’s obviously a strong and wise Christian man. Or were you just joking? I don’t recognize the initials.
Actually FHKJ during these times, we need to work together, even with protestants. This article is good because it should embarrass the bad willed bishops who are lukewarm! We can all learn from this man’s convictions, he holds the same truths as our faith…in this speech it is like minded in Christianity and we should support one another to improve this society!
Abeca,
AMEN to that!!!
FHKJ: really, he is a heretic and you’re not? He just might get to have a higher place in Heaven than you (that is, if you get there), so you better watch out for your unchristian remarks and pray that this Man of God will join the Roman Catholic Church someday very soon and that you will repent for your unholy ideas. +JMJ+
JMJ that was not necessary what you just rebuked to FHKJ. Sorry FHKJ about that, anyways back to what you just posted…we need to join together when fighting the good fight and this article can show our faithful that people do have a backbone and that we Catholics should too.
FHKJ, you are making a leap of something other than faith or reason when you accuse Jackson or Hoye of being heretics. Although their religions could be categorized as heresies, this does not prove that individuals in such religions are heretics. The world is converted to Catholicism when its bishops are sufficiently holy; this is not presently the case. How do you imagine or think that a non-Catholic would recognize the fullness of the Gospel when so many of those in charge of it are corrupt? These two men you single out may never have actually heard the whole Gospel due to the noise that drowns it out so much of the time.
And, he is a heritic because?
How dare you call someone a heritic when you do not know his hearr? It is time to end the hate mail on this site. If you don’t agree with his religious beliefs, say so, but don’t call people names. That is called bullying and is not acceptable behavior in our society.
FHKJ, I am wondering, based on your stance, if you are a “traditionalist” catholic. If so, my remarks as a Roman Catholic, probably won’t have any influence on you. My question to you is, how was a “heretical” gentile ever received for baptism by St. Paul, if he wasn’t first converted by the Gospel of Jesus Christ? I am in agreement with the others who have replied to you.
I would hope that if you had an opportunity to meet Jackson in person, you would commend him for upholding the Christian faith in this area and enlighten him in the areas where he may still lack understanding. If all he knows of the Catholic Church is based on what he sees in the media or what he learned in a protestant seminary or from his family, can you really say that he is aware that he is rejecting the one true faith? Even the conversion of cradle Catholics often lasts a lifetime.
FHJK,
Have you forgotten the well known saying that many roads lead to Rome? Something is very, very fishy here and I am not talking about the Christian symbol of a fish which was once used for those who were using that symbol as a means to recognize other early Christians, especially, I might add, the ones that they wanted to invite to learn and share in the fullness of truth!
CCD has posted many, many articles about heretics within our own Catholic Church. Could you please refresh our memories and remind us which specific story shocked you enough into calling one of those many wolves in sheep’s clothing (that CCD) exposed, a heretic.
FHJK, if you cannot cite the date and story or any specific examples where you actually called one of the many wolves within our own church a heretic then it appears that you have been caught red handed. You’re post was very transparent and ugly. This brave man’s courage demonstrates that he fears displeasing God much more than he fear the loss of human respect. Weak men often criticize virtuous and courageous men because it salves their own conscience when they can just try for a moment to take the spotlight off of their own sinfulness which includes sins of omission, such as omitting to courageously defend the Catholic Faith. CCD is courageously defending the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Let’s be honest now… The only reason you that you posted what you did has nothing to do with being offended by heretics because you’ve been far too silent for far too long. You are really angry at CCD for exposing those heretics within the Church who are disobeying Church teaching. You’re real anger is really directed toward CCD for all of their fine courageous work but you wrote you’re underhanded remarks at the expense of a courageous Christian. Shame on you for trying to disguise you’re real motives.
Yes, while it IS true that we do have the fullness of truth, this courageous man as well as Walter Hoye have often shown more loyalty to Christ than many who DO know and who Do understand the fullness of faith, but have now abandoned it to serve sin. Can you imagine Bishop Fulton Sheen ever calling this particular man a heretic? Bishop Sheen thirsted for souls. You FHJK, are not thirsting for souls, you are thirsting for revenge, a revenge that is born out of anger and envy, a revenge that is aimed at courageous and good men. With all due respect, for you to write something as ugly and divisive as you wrote, it is you FHJK that is truly in need of a greater conversion of heart!
FHJK, so was the Good Samaritan whom Christ praised. The Samaritans were Jewish heretics. This minister might have been born into heresy, which makes him far less culpable, if at all, than those Catholics who were born Catholics then fall into heresy. No one can fool this minster. God bless him for saying what others are afraid to say, including myself at times.
I have seen Bishop Jackson’s video and have to say that it is terrific. I wish all the libs would listen to what Bishop Jackson is saying and act accordingly.
I wish all Catholics, especially the clergy, would listen to Bishop Jackson.
First may all Catholics listen to the faithful clergy who are truly preaching with backbone and conviction in Christ and that those who do not honor God well, in our faith, may they feel shame for their lack of faithfulness through watching someone outside of our faith do a better job! We can all learn from the fruits of those who love Jesus and we can all pray for Jackson to someday come home to Rome too.
FHKJ,
Take it easy! Of course this man is a heretic, and of course he is not REALLY a bishop. All we catholics know this.
The point of the article is that as a heretic and fake bishop he speaks the truth with more boldness than the true catholic bishops. As the Lord says, “if they should remain silent, the very stones would cry out”. Looks like it´s time for the stones to get loud!!
I assume that any bishop who is not catholic is a fake? Even the Pope would not agree to that. Today he met for a long private session with the Archbishop of Canteburry in his office and then, at the Synod of Bishops, the Archbishop gave one of the major speeches. He is in full attendance at the Synod. For those who like to get upset about the little things, you might note that the Synod’ guest member ( I don’t know the official title) is a woman bishop who is responsible for the Carribian and Europe for her denomination. What is the world coming to?
False, Christopher. “True Catholic bishops” who do not speak the truth?! Isn’t that an oxymoron?
Christopher I get what you are saying but on the other hand, I think that people call anyone a heretic who is not in the faith but what then do we call someone who is in the faith and is not preaching the true message of Jesus?
After re-reading this article and what he stated, I do Declare, he did NOT STATE anything heretical at all, he stated what our own faith teaches. So how can we call him a heretic. Now looking back, it was rude of FHKJ,
I think that the MOST DECENT thing to do is to be CHARITABLE to our NEIGHBOR and if we truly walk with Christ, then we should applaud what he just preached for it is the TRUTH! God bless him.
Such strong, excellent words from a non-Catholic. Why aren’t the real bishops speaking this way? Too busy prancing about the poppy fields of the “new springtime”?
Well if you haven’t been reading the articles from this website, we did have Bishops speak out and also a Deacon from La Jolla, so yes we do also….but appreciate it so much more too when others outside of the faith lead as well…we could all use one another to fight the good fight, especially now more than ever! It makes me feel good to know that Black churches are also seeing right through Obama’s lies!
Don’t forget The deacon in La Jolla and the bishop in Springfield, they are awesome! Read their articles, we aren’t all lost, we still have good leadership showing itself, giving us a ray of hope!
The problem is that the Republican party shows absolutely no interest in engaging black voters and persuading them to vote Republican. In fact, they do just the opposite..witness the ‘voter ID’ laws that republicans are pushing in Ohio and Florida..whose vote are they courting there? And don’t give me that “voter fraud” stuff… there is no voter fraud.
This is totally false narative.
The republican party does not see color. It sells an ideology, unlike the democratic party that thrives on divisiveness.
Mbûkû Kanyau Mbithûka you are so right on! Peter please read her comment, it tells truth, it is common sense!
Really Peter M? Who is Condoleezza Rice?
And exactly how would you engage black voters into the Republican party, Peter Martin? The Republicans proclaim their planks and their platform … what are they supposed to add and/or delete from it to engage blacks?
Listen to his video. It’s not about politics at all. It is about being a Christian. He said ‘we {Black people} don’t need a government to take care of us. We have God. God will take care of us.” Watch the video on youtube. We limit ourselves by politicizing or rearranging what others say and think to our own agenda. Try listening to what someone else is saying, you might learn something.
PS…don’t ‘ya hate that? haha. Sometimes I sound so pompous, I can’t believe that is me sounding for all the world like Richard Nixon.
Dana who were you directing that comment too? I agree with you, I like this article and applaud his actions…maybe you were referring it to Peter? hugs hugs
Yes, I was writing to poor Peter/ We inundated him with our haranguing. If we were talking over tea cups, we wouldn’t sound so dogmatic and judgmental, Abeca. In this format we tend to pontificate rather than discuss. When I start sounding all puffed up like Nixon, I KNOW I’m in a wrong frame of mind! I guess what so many of us want is just plain speaking, don’t you think? We want everyone to sound lucid and have a true understanding of the Word and of the Church. . I heard Archbishop Cordelione Speak on EWTN ‘The World OVer’ tonight, and he’s so calm and loving and yet speaks the truth , and it was good. But when I hear some other bishops, I feel so frustrated because they’re obfuscating and watering down the truth. That is why we tend to be shrill , don’t you think, because we hear so many on this site especially, play tricks with Church teaching in order to promote their own biased views rather than seeking truth. Hugs back, and God bless.
Dana don’t kid yourself sweets, I am sipping a cup of tea right now…how do I sound now? LOL
Auriez-vous une tasse de thé ?
Dana you are fine sweets! You always come off as sweet or like someone with conviction, which is far better for all of us…a breath of fresh air now a days because many lack conviction.
Peter Martin, are you suggesting that African Americans are unable to obtain an ID? Why is that?
E.W. Jackson God bless you for speaking up with conviction and backbone! You are a good soul!
OK Uncle Tom.
Prove him wrong peter, you can’t that’s why…
That is racist!
OK racist
Have you ever read Uncle Tom’s Cabin? It’s considered one of the major causes of awakening Americans to the evils of slavery. For the life of me, I can’t conceive how anyone can denigrate a loving good man like Uncle Tom. As Christians, we are called to be humble. Maybe you should rethink your racial slur. Without Uncle Tom, we might still have slavery. I can’t think of the young man’s name that last spring was gunned down by a bunch of thugs and losers in Chicago. He was a straight A student and had such dreams. They called him a damn Uncle Tom which was the source of their rage.
Thugs do not use mental powers, but rattle off cliches that they’re fed by the community organizers. In the communist world, the objective of thugs is to keep the blinders on, and perpetuate the enslavement. This is why the thugs in the USA attack anything having to do with truth, goodness, light or intellect. Community organizers are largely communist and strive to construct darkness and mobs in spiritual cages. The thugs that murdered the student are no different from the teenage thug this past week who slugged the teacher in the alley … you all saw this on youtube news clips, right? … I run into it all the time. Community organizers magnify the hatred of success and hard work by enticing their slaves to attack those who love goodness and work for it.
Peter, you had better be careful when you call another person such names as Uncle Tom. Remember we could call you some pretty bad names too, and we would be correct about it.
It would certainly be safer for a child or anyone else to hang out with Uncle Tom than with a sodomite, right peter?
peter, pray the rosary for peace in the world and peace in your heart.
peter you can look up on the internet on how to pray the rosary. God bless you in your spiritual growth….Jesus loves you.
I don’t think Doug Kmiec has any Catholic minions any more, if he ever did.
Mr. Jackson sounds and acts more Catholic than some Catholic bishops do.
Francis actually you are right in this topic at hand. LOL
Which is why I continue to say that the Sacrament of Baptism, when exercised, is powerful and authoritative enough to easily overshadow any lukewarm soul who is multi-Sacramental. Jesus says He can work with both hot and cold, but not lukewarm. There are a few grains of live salt in the heap of the otherwise dead salt of the episcopacy. Why should a man such as Rev Hoye ship over to a luke warm Catholic bishop when he sees how dumbed down that bishop has hammered his priests?
“Planned Parenthood, which has killed unborn black babies by the tens of millions”
This is an encouraging article, apart from the above line. Why the emphasis on “black babies”? A Christian should protest the abortion of any child.
Kevin in case you didn’t know but reading a little bit of the history of planned parenthood, they began because of that connection to racism especially against blacks….read up on the founder of Planned Parenthood, pretty evil lady if you ask me!
Plus this Bishop is talking to his flock and actually leading…sorry that you didn’t feel an equal opportunity here, I think that most of the member at that church are black, so it’s naturally for this Bishop to want to point out the evils of abortion and how it is affecting his people. WHEW something like that…
Because he’s appealing to the black community. These pastors are trying to sway the black community away from their cultish devotion to the Democrat party, and so they are pointing out the betrayals peculiar to the black community.
Blacks are 12 percent of the American population, but blacks comprise 40 percent of the abortion procedures. This cannot continue.
@ Peter Martin you really believe there is no voter fraud? There is plenty of voter fraud going on in this country especially in California. There are cases with people being bused in from other counties or out of state to vote in districts they don’t live in. There are many cases were people vote more than once in an election. There are cases where voters are told when they arrive at a polling place that they don’t have to sign the register to vote. There are cases where voters are told they don’t have their political parties ballot and later they find out that the poll workers of a different political party hid them. These are just some of the stories I have heard of voter fraud from an organization that is battling voter fraud in California. I am sure everyone has heard of “dead “people voting and illegal aliens voting. This really does happen and can and has affected election outcomes.
Susanne I heard that too but it’s just hard to belief. I don’t know if its all a hysteria or what? I have not seen or read any hard core proof but I’m sure with liberals anything is possible..
SecDef Panetta has said publically that govt computer systems can and are being hacked, including the White House. So, why would someone presume that voting machines cannot be hacked? Why would someone presume voting machines are made in the USA? One reason we end up with fools and idiots running our nation is because of the incredible proportion of uneducated fools and idiots who are allowed to vote. Democracy of any stripe is only as good as its voters, and the voters in this nation are over run with mobs orchestrated by communist community organizers. Well guess what? The former seat of Communism in this world ended the communist monopoly several decades ago … Isn’t it about time this nation ends the upstart communism that is wrecking the west now?
Amen to what this bishop of his church is saying. Hopefully he will reach many in the black community who are in blind allegiance to the democrat party following it’s leaders over a cliff. I have thought that after Obama’s theme of Forward should be the word March. Don’t think just stay in line and do what we say. Praise the Lord that some are awakening from the trance.
Here is a black leader who truly loves black people.
I agree…this is real love leading souls to the right direction, little by little….Truth sets us free
There is one thing that this Protestant bishop says about Israel and those who would curse her being cursed themselves that might differ somewhat from what the Church teaches. I am not quite sure. The Catholic Church teaches that the Church herself is the New Israel of the New Testament. Nevertheless, Our Lord said that salvation was from the Jews, meaning that we got the Old Testament (the Old Covenant) from them, their Messiah (Jesus Christ who was Jewish) from them and the leaders of the New Covenant from them, too, because all the first Apostles were Jewish, and many of the Christian saints down through Christendom were of Jewish descent, such as St. Teresa of Avila. Therefore we have to be kind and fair to those Children of Abraham who are Jewish and of the same race (tribe) as Our Lord. That does not mean that we should not correct any Jewish person when he or she is wrong, of course, and it does not mean that we should not be fair to Muslims, some of whom are children of Abraham also, but we should look at our laws through Judeo-Christian eyes, as the Constitution and all our early laws were founded, for the most part, on Judeo-Christian laws, either from St. Thomas Aquinas’s interpretation in many cases (the Just War Theory) or English Common Law. Shariah law then is unacceptable to Christians and to most Jews and should not be forced on us. Some people are trying to change our laws now and force us to do some things which are against our conscience — such as paying for abortions. That like Shariah Law is unacceptable.
I guess one of the things I am saying is that we Catholics have a tabernacle on our altars for the New Testament and New Israel, containing the Holy Eucharist; we have the Ark of the Covenant of the New Testament, the Blessed Virgin Mary as she is portrayed in Revelation (Apocalyse) 12, the Ark that contained the Divine Christ Child, who was and is God Incarnate. In other words we have no need of a third (possibly fourth) Temple to be built in the country of Israel as some Jewish people want built. There are a few Protestant Christians who want that also, but I doubt Bishop Jackson is backing that, or even heard about it. The Dome of the Rock (a Muslim Mosque) now stands on the site of the Old Jewish Temple, which is a source of conflict between Jews and Muslims for those who know the history of the Holy Land.
I should clarify my last sentence; there are some who want a the third temple to be built on the same site as the last temple was located — where the Dome of the Rock is now — thus the conflict.
Evangelicals see their “sacrament” as the Jewish Sedar meal, and the center of their faith the “resurrected temple”. To them “when you do this, do this in memory of me”, means something totally different; it means to remember Jesus by eating crackers and grape juice. So in trying to read the map we find in the Gospel, the Evangelicals try to reconstruct Judaism. In doing so they are sweeping the blind Catholic leaders along with them, substituting symbols for the reality Jesus has given us.
