The President is associating himself now with Catholics because he needs their vote. This is done only for political reasons. Unfortunately, the majority of the American bishops are behaving exactly like the Austrian bishops did when the Austrians were voting on joining Hitler’s Germany. There are only a few courageous bishops who are lone voices crying in the devasted vineyard. Hopefully these voices will be heard above the cacophony that is resonating from most Chancery Office. God save us if we re-elect this modern day anti-christ.

As a white Catholic, I grew up (starting about 86 years ago) working alongside many black people-some of whom I always respected and loved as much as family members-but the color lines are still very distinct. Never will I feel able to say that I can relate exactly to those distinctions. Obama has quite a stretch to match his Moslem and black backgrounds to standard Catholic ideas which are still fought against by CINO’s-contraception in particular.

Then why won’t he modify the HHS mandate accordingly? All the Catholic organizations want is the right to maintain their religious freedom. Forcing all insurance companies to cover abortion and birth control will directly affect them because many Catholic organizations offer their own insurance. Birth control costs about $9/month. What’s the big deal if people pay for that out of pocket? Regarding abortions…that shouldn’t be covered anyway. Why should insurance companies have to cover peoples’ sex lives?

max, there has been no real (legitimate) birth certificate for Obama presented by Hawaii. The birth certificate that was originally published was proven not to be legitimate, a forgery, and sloppy at that. The question that the good Sheriff Arpaio is trying to get answered is: Is there a legitimate birth certificate proving Obama was born in the USA (Hawaii)? Hawaii keeps stonewalling the legal system which makes Obama look guilty. Obama is also dragging his feet against the legal system. Arpaio is merely doing his job, since it is unconstitutional to have anyone run for President of the US who was not born in the USA. Personally I don’t understand why Hawaii and Obama don’t put this to bed – unless he is not legitimate.

He is always looking at polls to see what he can get by with, for instance he decided from polls that most Catholics use contraception, so he figured he could get by with HHS mandate, so now that he’s getting some opposition he is talking about how great the Catholic Church is. I hope to God Catholics wake up come election day. All the Catholic newspapers I’ve read including the local one all talk about the mandate. They are not getting the message from the pulpit however.

This is one Catholic who will not vote for Obama. His stance on abortion without limitation and free contraceptives paid for by church ministries should be enough to wake up even the soundest of sleepers among Catholics. This type of thinking has produced a demographic disaster over the past fifty years and if we look beyong the religious implications it wouldn’t take a rocket scientist to discover where we are going should this continue. Satan loves to mock the sacraments and same sex “marriage” as advocated by Obama again serve to stir the pot of demographic collapse as well as moral collapse. This is the most devisive president ever to serve in the oval office and his “War on Women” rhetoric while trying to curry favor with Catholics and other well meaning people hopefully will backfire for him when we go to the polls in November. Lincoln once said that you can foll some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time. I only pray that many who were fooled in 2008 will not repeat thier folly this year.

Back in the late summer of 2008, Hilary Clinton supporter & PA State Democratic Party official Philip Berg, PA attorney filed a lawsuit to try to get the Obama campaign to produce a long form vault version of his birth certificate to prove his place of birth, along the way they found that all of his records were locked down at: Occidental U., Columbia U., Harvard Law School, Harvard Law Review, time spent on a Annenberg Foundation Board with Bill Ayers. READ the lawsuit, especially and including the Addendum/Appendixes. They got recorded testimony from his paternal Grandmother Sarah Obama that she was there at his birth, naming the hospital in Kenya where he was born. The people getting the testimony said everyone was trying to hush her up. They found it was common knowledge (and a point of pride that he was born there). When they went to the hospital, they acknowledged he was born there, and that they had a copy of the birth certificate, but that it was locked up, no one could see it. The leader of the country (President/PM) subsequently took custody of it. The lawsuit (which had the best research behind it) was always dismissed based on “lack of standing”, NEVER on MERIT. I prayed about this, and felt that this should not be my issue. But it ticks me off to no end the ignorance, lies and obfuscation which has gone on about this. Read the lawsuit: Berg v Obama, et al … if it hasn’t been “scrubbed or altered on the internet already. Answer this, why did Obama campaign lawyers spend close to $1,000,000, if not more, to fight this (and others), to keep the case from being heard? Why did they fight so hard to keep it snuffed out? Why did they present one “birth certificate” as the legitimate one for so long, then came up with another one when that Trump guy started raising a stink about it back in the beginning of the Republican primary season. Mike, get a look at the law. You do not have to be born in the United States to be a native born citizen. You only need to have one parent be a citizen. You can be born anywhere. Romney was born in Mexico. McCain was born in Panama. All of the stuff about no visible “complete” birth certificate from Hawaii is false. The complete birth certificate, not the certificate of live birth that is normal in Hawaii, states the time of birth, the attending doctor, the name of the mother and father and where they were born. Go to reliable sources on the web and you can see the official copies of all the records certified by the appropriate government official for the state of Hawaii.

Romney’s father, George, was born in Mexico – not Mitt. But the Republican party didn’t have any issue with George running for president in 1968. As for the nonsense that Obama was born in Kenya, I’d like to see the flight connections and the ticket prices necessary to go from Hawaii to Kenya in pre-jet age 1961. It would have least been Hawaii to California to New York to London to Narobi, followed by the Land Rover ride to Obama’s village on the other side of the country. Quite an ordeal, just so that Dad can introduce his girlfriend to his wife. Pretty idiotic, frankly. Not that it matters where he was born – see Romney, George and McCain, John, above.

Romney is not a dual citizen, as is Obama, who may even be a triple citizen (Kenya, Indonesia, USA). The qualifier is “natural born” citizen: Obama does not qualify on this level either. No matter how one looks at it, Obama is not legally qualified to be president. The root of the issue, as another blogger posted, is loyalty to the USA … Obama has none.

Canisius, noting the obvious – that the notion that Obama was born in Kenya is a fairy-tale – is hardly support for Obama. By that standard, Ann Coulter is an Obama supporter. As for “sealed” school records – report cards aren’t public records, and I don’t remember seeing, or remember anyone asking for any other president’s grades. So why does Obama not provide them? There are probably three reasons: One, he got crappy grades. Two, its bullcrap, never requested of any other President. Three, he benefits from an opposition that marginalizes itself through association with birther loons.

JLS, you are going off the deep end again. What does my religion have to do with any comments I may have submitted. For the record, I’m an orthodox Roman Catholic from birth. Now, let me ask you why you and others continue to do the birther thing. The fact is, that the State of Hawaii has released the complete birth certificate for Mr. Obama and have certified that it is correct and true. It is unusual for Hawaii to release a complete birth certificate. It shows that he was born in Hawaii of a Kenyan father and U.S. mother. It indicated the name of the hospital ( now closed I understand) and is signed by the attending doctor. What else do you want? Oh, by the way, why do you call people nasty names all the time. Why not stick to the subject under discussion. There was a time when you were very provocative in your comments. Now much less so, but more annoying.

JLS, thanks for showing us how little reality intrudes upon Birthers. Even now, over 50 years later, an Hawaii to Kenya trip is a two-stop minimum, and the quickest travel time is over thirty hours! As for passenger jets in 1958, yes, there were a few, but to take one to Kenya you had to get to London first. Flights there went to Rome, then Beirut, then Khartoum, then Entebbe Uganda, leaving only a few hundred miles to go into Kenya. Stop drinking the Kool-Aid, dude.

Tothis Mark of PA. Now I am not a prophet by any stretch and do not expect anyone to take my thoughts as such. I have been a Fr. Gobbi fan since 1976. He died last June. I had seen him about 3 times when he came to the states at different times. Anyway he had not been to the states for awhile, but made a little trip to N. Miami for like a 3 day cenacle. He was headed to S. America, but stopped here. I think he had a lay cenacle on Sunday or Monday, but on Tuesday he had priest cenacle (priests only) and that was the Tuesday that Obama was being inaugurated. Fr. Gobbi was to return to the USA last fall, but went to his heavenly reward instead. I often thought about and if it meant anything! Also I think of the 31/2 years and of the other 3 1/2 years….and sure hope Obama has nothing to do with prophecy…if he wins in Nov. I am going to worry a bit!! We don’t know enough about this man, at times I wonder, he seems to have some strangeness about or around him. Anyway, this year will be 40 years since Fr. Gobbi heard Our Lady. You can look up Marian Movement of Priests, if you are not familiar. The main request is to consecrate ourselves, our families to the Immaculate Heart of Mary……times are urgent. Others may some ideas or thoughts about this man who is our president……is it far fetched Mark…….maybe, maybe not?
