Notice Regarding Father Andres Larios Chavez
This is to advise you that Father Andres Larios Chavez, a priest from the Diocese of Apatzingán, Michoacán, México, does not have faculties in his home Diocese or in the Diocese of Oakland and should not be invited for any priestly ministry in the Diocese.
Please communicate this information to your parishioners and recommend including a notice in your bulletins since Father Larios is celebrating Mass and offering sacraments. Thank you for your attention to this matter and please also advise the appropriate members of your staff.

Ok. What’s the story behind this priest?
Does that actually matter? If he doesn’t have the permissions of the Apostles, shouldn’t we just listen to them?
Well Anon – some conservative priests (one I know of in the Sacramento diocese) have had their faculties removed reportedly because of their conservative views. As for the Bishops, if you want to give them your absolute trust in these matters, I give you exhibit A – the sex abuse scandals, and exhibit B – the financial scandals.
