Today the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) celebrated the surge of pro-life women elected to Congress during yesterday’s election.
“The surge of victorious pro-life women candidates in the U.S. House is a stunning blow to Nancy Pelosi and her pro-abortion agenda,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “So far, we have more than doubled the number of pro-life women in the House, with more races to be called. Seven pro-life women candidates flipped pro-abortion Democrat-held seats.
“We are also very encouraged by the hard-fought re-election of Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) and the re-election of Sen. Cindy-Hyde Smith (R-MS), while welcoming Senator-elect Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) to the ranks of pro-life women in the Senate,” she continued. “We are ‘all in’ for Senator Kelly Loeffler’s runoff race in January and confident she will prevail.”
“This is a resounding victory for pro-life women everywhere and an enormous advancement of Susan B. Anthony List’s mission. We expect when all votes are counted and the races are called, we will have a record number of pro-life women serving in the next Congress. These gains are a repudiation of abortion extremism and further evidence that life is a winning issue in politics.”

Since when did conservatives start checking diversity boxes? This story smacks of desperation to spin a narrative that isn’t supported by facts. Calling it a “surge” is an exaggeration. Young Kim, for example… she’s so “pro-life” that her official campaign website says nothing about her pro-life stance nor anything about abortion at all. Same with Michelle Steele. Yep, they’re so “pro-life” that they hide it. As I said, this is a fake narrative.
If you know about the Susan B. Anthony List, you know they endorse no candidates who are not prolife.
Isn’t doubling the number of prolife Congresswomen a surge?
And, what do you mean by “checking diversity boxes?”
Stewart, help us out, please explain what you mean by a “fake narrative” and share your agenda with us.
This is great news (though, admittedly, long battles lie ahead).
I think he means why point out that they’re women? Is an article about gay pro-lifers being elected coming next?
It’s possible he means that. Your guess is as good as mine. Yet, we could stop speculating, if he told us.
Maybe you are unaware that the Susan B. Anthony List was founded in order to elect prolife women (of any political party) to office. The very reason for its existence is that it was founded by and promotes prolife women. It’s named after Susan B. Anthony, an early women’s suffragette, who was recently pardoned by Mr. Trump. She, like many of the early advocates for women (and others today), was adamantly prolife. She clearly saw abortion as an assault on women and children and a means for men to exploit women.
I hope that helps explain the nature of the Susan B. Anthony List.
And, if there is a group dedicated to electing gay prolifers and they succeeded in doing so, would it be wrong to post an article about that? I don’t think so.
Although she is expected to win, this is what Mrs. Kim said yesterday, “I wish I had better news, but this fight is far from over. Polls closed 3 days ago and there are STILL thousands of votes to be counted.” Let’s pray that she prevails over abortion extremist Gil Cisneros.
Congratulations to the Representatives-elect. In California especially this is a great victory. They are the future and so are the babies they save.
