The politically correct nightmare that is National Public Radio deputized their “extremism” correspondent Odette Yousef on Thursday night to smear the entire pro-life movement as a “far-right” cocktail of “Christian supremacism, secular male supremacism and white supremacism.”
The online headline was “Supremacy movements unite over abortion restriction, though for different reasons.” Anchor Adrian Florido began: “Overturning Roe v. Wade has long been thought of as the work of Christian conservatives, but other non-religious movements on the far right have also played an important part, and aspects of their extreme ideologies have found their way into the mainstream.”
They bizarrely call their show All Things Considered as they turn for expertise to two far-left “experts” on pro-life advocates. There’s no dissent considered.
YOUSEF: I spoke with Alex DiBranco, who runs something called the Institute for Research on Male Supremacism. And she says we have to stop thinking about extremism in the anti-abortion context simply as violence. Instead, she says, we should be looking at the ideologies and movements that inspire that violence because they’ve pulled America’s abortion debate to the extreme right. And you can hear that in the language used today.
ALEX DiBRANCO: We’ve been sort of convinced by the growth of the movements themselves to only think about, well, if they’re not committing mass violence, then they’re not extreme. If they’re not killing doctors, they’re not extreme. That’s – you know, that’s a totally different kind of issue of tactics.
And anything that talks about criminalizing or banning abortion or contraception inherently — that is supremacist. It’s extremist. And it’s important that we don’t fall into their own self-framing around that.
YOUSEF: The Christian anti-abortion wing historically has framed their campaign as multiracial, multi-ethnic. But white power activists frame the issue differently. Here’s Carol Mason. She’s a professor at the University of Kentucky.
CAROL MASON: There’s a far-right idea of demographic decline or of the great replacement in which Christian civilization or white people are being outnumbered by non-Christian and nonwhite people. And this is a fear that has been bubbling up in anti-abortion materials for a long time.
Yousef concluded by noting “Mason doesn’t say all anti-abortionists are extremists or that they’re all extremists or white supremacists, but she says that anti-abortion messaging has tended to accommodate white nationalism and conspiratorial thinking, most recently including QAnon and its claims about elites dismembering babies, you know, imagery kind of similar to what anti-abortion activists have used of aborted fetuses.”
DiBranco and Mason are quite closely aligned on this “male supremacism” theory. They have both authored chapters in a forthcoming book titled Male Supremacism in the United States: From Patriarchal Traditionalism to Misogynist Incels and the Alt-Right. They’re also both aligned with Political Research Associates, a far-left research group.

This all the Left has, they have no cogent argument to support abortion.
I disagree! For progressives, the terms “racist” and “white supremacist” describes a person with whom they disagree.
For example, a progressive would say: “My neighbor prefers ham for Thanksgiving. I prefer turkey. My neighbor is a racist.”
Spin, spin, spin. It all makes my head spin. It could be spun the other way, too, about pro abortionists. What does it matter why people do not want to kill an innocent child in the womb, unless they are trying to convince you it is all right to kill yours?
The left is completely unhinged from reality and rationality.
Who wants to tell these people that most abortions are Hispanic and Black babies? Which would mean more Hispanic and black adults eventually. Which would be an odd objective for ‘white supremacists’? It’s a wonder they can find their way to the kitchen every day….
Complaints like “unhinged from reality…” are nothing more than useless hand wringing. More direct action must be taken against Media agencies that do not permit Catholics or Catholic viewpoints, on what passes for supposedly impartial News channels. It is time for a nationwide Catholic organization to be created, with millions of Catholics, that will finally force the Media to allow Catholic viewpoints.
Unfortunately, most Catholics are responsible individuals who are busy with families, their homes and businesses, and don’t have time for the Media. But if we do not take action soon, it appears that there will be more Media and Political criminality directed against Catholics. One has only to examine the Anti-Catholic tenets being forced on grade school students, to understand that this is just the start of a concerted effort to criminalize Catholics. We must wake up, and organize as a political force, to save our Catholic faith from these criminal attacks, and allow our traditional freedom of religion.
So, let me get this straight, the Black women and men and others of color who are among the leaders in the prolife movement are White supremacists?
This is a great example of our tax dollars at work. NPR and “public” television can’t make it on their own. Why should they get our tax dollars, but not Ben Shapiro, Candice Owens or Dan Bongino?
Better yet, none of them should get our tax dollars. They can rely on fans and advertisers, like other talk shows.
They think their right to our money is right there in the Constitution, next to the right to abortion and transgender surgery, of course, paid for by taxpayers. The Constitution is such a long document to read. It doesn’t fit in a Tweet. We just need to trust Joe Biden and Planned Parenthood.
Remember, only dummies watch Fox News or EWTN.
To me, a very sad aspect of this is that there are intelligent people out there who eat this stuff up. Ideologically chained to nonsense, these fulfill II Tim 3:7– always learning but never able to arrive at the knowledge of the truth. They project their own sins onto this phantasm of white supremacy and go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived (v. 13). As the holy apostle warned Timothy, so all God’s flock should be warned against these wolves.
Racist, supremacist, blah blah. Those accusations have no meaning anymore. They are thrown around as a substitute for evidence and argument. I can’t believe the left still relies on using those words. They think intelligent people believe what they say is true. Nope.
is it okay to simply be a “supremicist”
if you’re NOT white or male?
It’s okay to be anything as long as you’re on the left. You can outright contradict yourself if you’re on the Left, and you suffer no consequences. Being on the Left means never having to say you’re sorry. As long as you espouse the currently acceptable ideas, you’re good.
What about Diana Ross and the Supremes?
I cannot stand NPR or PBS! Last week, I think I heard either this broadcast or a similar one, from someone’s radio, and it greatly disturbed me. I noticed that no one was really listening. So, I went over and struck up a conversation, and motioned to the person to turn down the radio, as I could not hear whst they were saying. The person turned off the radio– and the extremely offensive program was gone. I was so thankful to God! It hurt me very much, what they were saying. These awful NPR and PBS people pride themselves on being “intelligent” and “well-educated.” They are all “educated beyond their intelligence,” their souls were sold to the Devil long ago, during the filthy “hippie era.”
Yes, the NPR radio show that got turned off, was “All Things Considered.” A poor, helpless, beautiful, precious baby, made by God, needs our love and care– and should inspire loving, nurturing hearts, in normal women! A baby’s precious life, and the sacredness of Motherhood, receive no respect at all, from today’s liberal-leftist, immoral, inhuman, Godless, hippie-bred “intellectual morons,” living in a filthy, dead culture! These horrific “women” seek only Satanic power, money, status, and pleasure for themselves, as inhuman, Godless “feminists!” Their moronic, psuedo-intellectualized political “baloney” is a bunch of worthless, incoherent nonsense!
The extreme left and the extreme right are completely unhinged from reality and rationality. Satan loves the “big lies” emanating from both sides.
Critters that stay in the center of the road tend to get run over too…..

The Catholic Church has always been against abortion. So have many other religious denominations, Christian and otherwise. So, why do we have a problem? Could it be that too many people don’t have a religious background, something in which they are rooted? If one does not “know” that abortion is wrong, they think that those who do are extremists. They don’t know that their support of abortion is morally wrong. They are not evil people, for the most part, they just don’t know their notions are evil. Rather than mounting a blistering war of words against them, perhaps we could consider a national evangelization effort. How do you teach a nation, where 60% of the people believe abortion should be legal, that it is evil?
To the extent that NPR gets any taxpayer funding it seems to me that such funding should be ended. Letters to congress people would help.
Living in California, to which members of Congress should I write? No one in the Senate. I do still have a Rep in the House, but, apparently, that will cease once the new redistricting goes into effect. One of the many reasons I am planning on leaving this benighted State.
Defund NPR.NOW.
NPR receives funding for less than 1% of its budget directly from the federal government, but receives almost 10% of its budget from federal, state, and local governments indirectly.
If it’s only 10%, they won’t miss the money.
God help us! I just read that Disney has a new “LGBTQ” clothing line for children! This is an absolute horror! Disney really needs new management! Pronto! Parents, beware of Disney!
All things gay and trans need to go away. If they won’t go away on their own, make them go away.
Fr. James Martin has a new LGBTQ website and is peddling his trans filth even more now. Which is worse?
