Over 100 Republican lawmakers asked the Government Accountability Office to account for all the federal money flowing to domestic and international abortion groups.
“Proper oversight of public funds and programs is crucial for determining the value of the goods and services provided to and funded by American taxpayers,” wrote Republican lawmakers in a bicameral letter.
The letter comes just days after Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, the co-chairs of President-elect Trump’s new Department of Government Efficiency, announced that $300 million of federal grants to Planned Parenthood were on the chopping block.
Led by Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Congressman Chris Smith (R-NJ), the letter was supported by 31 Senators and 81 House members including the most senior members to lead the 118th Congress; Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD), House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), and House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA).
The Members asked for a comprehensive accounting of all funding to abortion providers over a three-year period, from 2022-2024. Those operating domestically include Planned Parenthood and its affiliates, as well as FPA Women’s Health, American Women’s Services, All Women’s Health Center, and Whole Women’s Health.
They asked for an accounting of all funding to global abortion giants International Planned Parenthood Federation and MSI Reproductive Choices and their affiliates. Both organizations have hundreds of affiliates operating in Africa, southeast Asia and Latin America. Lawmakers requested that the report include all funding amounts, activities, agency source of funding and whether the recipient received assistance directly or through a prime organization….
During President Trump’s first administration, he tried to cut funding to domestic and international abortion providers to stop U.S. taxpayer complicity in abortion.
When Trump took office in 2017, he expanded the Mexico City Policy to all global health, around $10 billion. This prevented foreign abortion providers from receiving U.S. grants unless they abandoned all abortion activities. Abortion groups however have moved activities into sectors beyond global health, including humanitarian, climate, water and sanitation, and other programs. Pro-life advocates hope that when Trump takes office a second time he will extend the Mexico City Policy to all foreign assistance, roughly $50 billion….

This insanity must stop. It’s good news that 300,000,000 dollars of federal grants to Planned Parenthood are on the chopping block. It’s a step in the right direction. End Abortion Now! Adoption is the option.

Last year, about 3.6 million babies were born, in the U.S.– but over 1 million babies were aborted. Over 1 million babies, last year, were wrongfully denied the right to be born, and to be loved, wanted and cared for– and to now have just joyfully celebrated their first Christmas, and look forward to happily celebrating their first birthdays. Shame on America for this tragedy! Our Church, as well as all the other churches, must daily preach and teach Chastity, self-control, and warn all people against the Mortal Sin of sex outside the holy Sacrament of Marriage. And our Church and all the other churches, must wage a Holy War against Planned Parenthood, abortion, artificial birth control, evil, degrading, selfish, radical feminism, radical, revealing “sexy” women’s clothing in public, pornography in all media– TV, movies, computers, books, magazines, videos, etc.– the filthy, degrading, highly destructive, pornographic rock “music” industry, and filthy, lawless sex-ed in the schools, devoid of all training in morality, virtue, and self-control. Clean up America! And replace all immoral birth control services and abortion clinics, with free maternity and adoption centers.
Sexual sin is at the root of the evil of Abortion. All the Catholic, Protestant, and other clergy in the state of Texas should have been on the warpath against the pornographic “Beyonce Bowl” at halftime, on Christmas Day, at the game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans. Shame on Texas for allowing it — on Christmas Day. Beyonce should have been jailed for featuring her underage daughter, age 12, in this rock “music” extravaganza of filth on Christmas Day.
The members of Congress mentioned have long been supporters of life. Congressman Chris Smith is a Catholic in practice as well as name. Not only has he long worked to protect preborn babies and their mothers from the violence of abortion, he is probably the most knowledgeable person in Congress on human rights and world hunger. Hopefully, we will stop exporting death in the near future. Lord, have mercy.
He has also put through more bills against the sex trafficking of children and adults than any congressperson I know. Abortions cover up rape and sex trafficking by getting rid of the evidence — killing the child. Makes it easier to misuse a woman over and over again.
No money to plan parenthood. And no money to foreign countries for abortions
All four of these conservative Republican lawmakers– Sen. Marsha Blackburn (a conservative Presbyterian), Sen. John Thune (an Evangelical Christian), House Speaker Mike Johnson (a Southern Baptist), and House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (a Catholic)— are outstanding, and strongly uphold traditional Christian faith and family beliefs and values. Exactly what we also desperately need, in California.
