A California Catholic reader on Oct. 22 emailed an invitation to the upcoming conference:
Hope Heal Renew: Our Journey Continues
A virtual conference to be held on November 4 – 6, 2021
As Christians, we are on pilgrimage – accompanied by Christ on a sacred journey of discipleship. The road has not always been easy, especially in recent months. But our purpose is clear: to be messengers of hope, healing, and renewal to all we encounter along the way. Inspired by the success of our inaugural virtual conference last fall, we invite you to join us on November 4 – 6, 2021 to engage in uplifting prayer services & liturgies, live interactions with presenters, learning sessions in multiple languages, real-time “coffee talk” conversations with colleagues in ministry and so much more. Come, be with us as our journey continues…
Co-hosted by the (arch)dioceses of Fresno, Honolulu, Las Vegas, Monterey, Reno, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Francisco, San Jose, Stockton.
The following is an excerpt from the presentation by Sr. Simone Campbell, the “nun on the bus” who spoke at the 2020 Democratic convention:
Building the Beloved Community: Using Pope Francis’ Fratelli Tutti
We will explore how to develop a community that works together for the common good. In these challenging times it is critically important that we invite everyone to share their gifts and understand when these gifts are best used. We will explore a practical tool for problem solving in the face of conflict as well as the inspirational words of Pope Francis.

This has all the makings of a heretical festival under a Catholic banner. Stay home, say a rosary.
Cantu and McElroy is a tag team of decay to the Catholic Church in California. Dynamic combination of incompetent-effete and shrewd-diabolical
So many apostates…
Apostacy is the complete rejection of the Faith. They wouldn’t be at the Conference, they would not be in the Church if they were apostates.
A virtual REC on the (dis-information) super-highway!
Like the original REC on the 101, it seems to have maybe a couple or few good speakers, but the others seem to be dissenters or weak and vague at best.
Am I missing something?
When a religious Sister uses the title “Doctor,” instead of Sister, that says something.
Maybe there’s a reason the dioceses of Oakland and Santa Rosa didn’t sign onto this.
Maybe you could keep the RECs in La La Land.
Between USF, SCU, the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley and others, we already have more than enough Left Coast dissenting institutions up here.
A catechist could learn more from EWTN, Catholic radio and Ignatius Press, as well as, of course, the Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
WHY is this being called Catholic? Please! Some one explain!
Stay away from this heretical Masonic pagan activity.
No wonder you don’t see Bishop Vasa’s name affiliated with this trash. He knows better.
Obviously you won’t see Bishop Vasa’s name on supporting this….he knows better.
Obviously it’s no wonder you don’t see Bishop Vasa’s name endorsing this because he definitely knows better.
