The following comes from a November Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration post:
WINTER 2015: “All for Jesus”
Since our last update, Mother Angelica’s condition has declined, and it became necessary to put her on a feeding tube. The good part is that she now receives the necessary nutrients she needs. There were some up and down moments, and Mother has suffered a great deal these past months. She is quite a trouper. God has gifted Mother with much suffering during her life which she has always accepted, living out her motto “Totus Jesu” – All for Jesus.
Recently, a Mother Superior wrote this to her: “I believe only in Heaven will you finally realize all the GOOD your loving labor for God and His people have done for us all.”
Please keep Mother in your prayers as she continues to give her all to Jesus.
I have been praying for her and will continue to do so. God bless her for all the good she has done for the Lord and us.
God bless Mother Angelica! Wish Cardinal Mahoney long ago would have humbly admitted publicly, to his terrible mistakes, done reparation for his sins, and apologized to Mother Angelica, publicly! For Jesus! “Totus Jesu!” “All for Jesus,” Cardinal Mahoney!
God Bless Mother Angelica.
Her straightforwardness and honesty in teaching the true Faith has brought many Souls back to the Church or into the Church for the first time.
And even her encores today continue to do so.
If anyone has never seen her in action, she can still be seen on EWTN.
The book about her life: “Mother Angelica, the Remarkable Story of a Nun, Her Nerve, and a Network of Miracles” is a must read.
Over the TV she encouraged me to read the Bible and the CCC.
A suffering patient earns merits for Heaven, but the patient, loving caregivers also receive merits. God will bless all those sisters who care for Mother. God Bless.
I have never had the opportunity to personally meet Mother Angelica, but I will pray for her when I pray my Rosary and Breviary this afternoon, and I shall remember her at Mass tomorrow. The Catholic Church in America owes a great deal to her for upholding Church doctrine and discipline. May God bless Mother Angelica, and may Our Lady protect her.
As many know, intubation with a feeding tube means usually the final stages of hospice care. We at least can prepare and pray with her while she is still with us in this life: what a wonderful life has been shared with us.
God bless Mother Angelica! She is a beautiful soul! A beautiful gentle soul!
God bless and protect this dear soul. Mother Angelica tried to present authentic Catholicism to us, but then Mahoney and the local bishop in Alabama were finally successful in taking the EWTN controls away from her. I know she has pleased God by her seculsion in the monastery, and I am sure she is gaining many graces from her suffering. God love you, Mother Angelica. I am praying for you.
pilar, i missed the story of mother angelica’s losing control of ewtn. could you post a snall summary of this sad development. she won so many victories against early attempts led by archbishop weakland to destroy the operation. i did not get a chance to follow the later years. thanks.
Besides being in many Catholic magazines and newspapers, the history is also brought up in a book called EWTW: A Network Gone Wrong. I hope this helps you.
One can also go to this website to learn a few things about what has happened at EWTN after they “fired” Mother: https://www.networkgonewrong.com/ and replaced her with Doug Keck, an executive from the Playboy Channel. What a mess!
God grant peace to Mother Angelica, and whenever her time comes, a holy death.
