The following comes from an Oct. 20 story by Kelsey Harkness on the Daily Signal website.
Having a baby is supposed to be one of the happiest moments of your life. But for Bobby Lopez, an unusual figure in the marriage debate, it was a day overshadowed by fear.
His wife was in labor with their second child when Lopez received hateful phone calls and emails from LGBT rights activists.
Why?
Because two days prior, the Human Rights Campaign—a political action group whose mission is to “achieve equality” for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans—put out its latest blast email in a campaign called “The Export of Hate.”
Its main “exporter” that day: Robert “Bobby” Oscar Lopez.
Lopez, openly bisexual but married, works as an English professor at California State University-Northridge. He incurred HRC’s wrath because of his outspoken view that children do better when raised by a mother and father than they do when raised by parents of the same sex.
Lopez, 43, was raised in a household by two mothers. He drew public attention in 2012 after penning an account of that experience in an article for Public Discourse titled “Growing Up With Two Moms: The Untold Children’s View.”
Overall, “children of same-sex couples have a tough road ahead of them,” Lopez argued, writing:
“When your home life is so drastically different from everyone around you, in a fundamental way striking at basic physical relations, you grow up weird. I have no mental health disorders or biological conditions. I just grew up in a house so unusual that I was destined to exist as a social outcast.”
Ever since Lopez went public with his story, left-leaning gay rights groups such as HRC and GLAAD, an organization that calls itself “the voice for LGBT equality,” have targeted Lopez as an “extremist.”
They have provoked those on their mailing lists to write and call his family and university, attempted to blacklist him with the media and academia, and put in public records requests to acquire his contact information.
“It was an onslaught from that point forward,” Lopez recalls in an interview with The Daily Signal.

OK, Catholic bishop(s) and CCC, let’s stand behind Mr. Lopez. In fact, Mr. Lopez deserves praise on several grounds: (1) apparently avoiding the moral excesses of his “bi-sexuality”, married the woman that carries his child; (2) he works to support his true and natural family; and (3) he actually has the masculine strength to stand up and offer his story, showing that a man-woman family is the best place to raise a child (and not the nutty case of what he was brought up in, a dual-lesbian family).
But, Nooo — here comes the HomoFascist brigade which proceeds to pummel the honest Mr. Lopez with lies, deceit, and likely tortious interference with his occupation and livelihood. Hopefully, Mr. Lopez finds good legal counsel to attack these LGBT attack dogs. And, hopefully his college finds the institutional courage to use this as a teaching moment on the constitution.
So, the basic question: where are our brave bishops, or the Vatican, for that matter? Come on, Pope Francis, after insisting that the infamous and rejected “three paragraphs” on homosexual sexual “gifts” be included on the Vatican website, surely you see what you and your brethern missed in Rome. The homosexual lobby has no interest, zero, nyet, nada, in living within the Catholic Faith. Rather, the Faith must change to accommodate the homosexual insistence on the wonders of sodomy (a wonder shared, very unfortunately, by many of the senior clergy at the Synod).
Lopez reminds me of Tammy Bruce (author of the devastating expose ‘The Death of Right and Wrong’; which is both hopeful and somewhat troubling.
Like Bruce he effectively and candidly rips the cover off of the pretenses of Gaystapo Media Propaganda, and Yet – there seems more going on behind the curtain than the Wizard wants us to observe.
I am reminded of slow boil frogs – and what can hop out of the pan at the most curious of times.
I hope he can gain the help of LifeLegal or other CHristian law group to sue these bullies for harrassment, intimidation, infringing on his free expression of ideas and frankly…these are stalkers who should be put in prison. On a personal level these sick, malicious chaff & raff are just the tip of the iceberg of what awaits all of us if we don’t start supporting people being harmed now. How many Christian businesses are we going to sit back and watch being destroyed ? One way to stop the evil predators disguised as a harmless ‘persecuted’ minority, is voting every democrap out of office whenever possible…especially when voting for judges. Another is giving money to Christian law support groups. Also, keep speaking out. Stop being afraid of offending people with the truth. That is always how evil triumphs, as you know…by our complicit silence.
I think Mr. Lopez should sue for harassment and invasion of privacy. He is not a public person in the sense of the law as would be a politician and could stop these dictatorial and their organizations in their tracks.
Yes, indeed, Mr. Patrick.
Unfortunately LGBT activists cannot stand the truth. I pray for his safety and that of his family. Congratulations on the new baby. God bless.

Ah, feel the love from those demanding tolerance! Who are the real haters? It’s pretty clear the Left is full of haters.
“Waging Lawfare” in service of ‘tolerance’, or else – sounds like it is ‘trending now’ in the Abomination:
“Waging lawfare to criminalize dissent
The heavy hand of misused government power is getting heavier by the day.
Given the Obama administration’s vast abuses of executive power, it’s not surprising that lesser lights are following the chief executive’s example and waging “lawfare” on their opponents.
It probably seemed like a good idea to Houston Mayor Annise D. Parker, an activist lesbian, for city attorneys to serve five pastors with subpoenas ordering them to turn over all sermons, emails and other communications involving a petition drive against a transgender statute that she had championed.
