Additional observations Victoria is on the southern end of Vancouver Island, and is part of the diocese of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish traces its roots back to 1858; the current church was built in 1929. It was dedicated to Our Lady Queen of Peace as a memorial to those who died in World War I. In 2003, the pastor of the parish at the time was given a statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague. When he returned, the diocesan bishop designated the parish as a shrine dedicated to the Infant.
What a beautiful parish! Thank you!
Many may want to fly to Vancouver if Cardinal Dolan moves ahead with his plan to close down Holy Innocents, the only parish with daily Latin Mass in Manhattan.
