Dear Pro-life friends,

Because certain people are trying to block the efforts of sidewalk counselors to save mothers and babies from the horrors of abortion, we are keeping the dates, times, and locations of where we are counseling confidential. The notes below may come from one or more locations during the week.

Report from the third week of June, 2017

The counselors were busy handing out material when a couple with a child in the back seat parked near them. They handed the mom material as she exited the car. She was polite and thankful, so they briefly spoke as her husband put coins in the meter.  She then sat in the car for about 5 to 8 minutes reading the material, smiled, and went in as her husband stayed with the 3 year old son sleeping in the back seat.

Then she came back out and spoke to her husband for a minute or two and went back in. One of the counselors then went over and engaged the dad for about 10 to 15 minutes. He was very polite and carefully listened while the other counselor handed out material to several people coming in.

The dad said they really only wanted one child at this time in their lives and that they were going through difficult times; working, raising a family and going to school. They just could not handle another child now. The counselor talked a lot about how life is difficult at times, but that things will change in the future, and this decision will negatively impact both of them the rest of their lives. Other options were explained where they can find much help through any of the organizations on the back page of the pamphlet.  An offer was made to take them to one of pregnancy resource centers, but he declined.

He continued to listen patiently and thanked the counselors, but moved his car closer to the clinic. A very short time later the wife can out and went to the car, and they then drove out. The mom was still holding the flyer in her hands as they drove away.  Please pray that they had a change of heart.
