The following was posted on the Diocese of Sacramento website on March 17, 2019:
Dear Holy Family Community:
We are pleased to announce that Holy Family School is staying open. After strong efforts from parents, the parish, and the diocese, we are moving forward to register students for the 2019- 2020 school year.
We acknowledge that this year has been challenging for all of us. Both the diocese and the parish have invested significant dollars in the continued operation of the school, and, as we have previously communicated, we know that the school will remain in a deficit next year, too. The parish and the diocese have agreed to carry that loss, and the parish has set aside the funds necessary for the smooth operation of the school. You, the community, have asked us for the opportunity to get the school on the right path, and we are investing to make this year that time.
As previously announced, Ms. Remick will be our principal for next year. We will work closely with her and with the parent community on our academic programs, facilities plans, and marketing and communications. We need to grow the school, and Father Enrique and Ms. Remick are grateful for the support of an enthusiastic group of parents and alumni who are stepping forward to lead this effort. We will communicate more in the coming days about our plans for next year, and will be reaching out to school parents as we finalize enrollment. Thank you for your support of Holy Family School.
Peace,
Lincoln Snyder
