Please pray for “S,” a young woman who left FPA with her boyfriend today. They both were given information on the medical record of the doctor, as well as other information. They walked up the steps to FPA, but stopped before going in. They talked for a short time, then turned around and left.
On their way out, they spoke with a counselor, who assured them that if they went to Culture of Life Family Services (COLFS) they would receive loving options and an ultrasound. They went to COLFS and spoke at length to counselors and the doctor. This young woman’s heart may have opened a bit, but she was still unsure what she would do.
Please also pray for “C,” who with her mother left FPA today. The counselor talked in detail to both of them about the horrible medical record of the doctor. Immediately “C” began to cry. It was apparent that she did not want to be there. Her mother was more firm and told the counselor she was just going to go into FPA to see if it was a legitimate place. She urged her daughter to come with her, but her daughter refused.
As her mother was inside FPA, the counselor was able to talk more freely. The woman told the counselor she was 10 weeks along. The counselor showed her a baby model of what her baby would look like. She told the counselor she did not want to do this and realized it was not right but she had a good job and did not want to change her life. She told the counselor her boyfriend would support her but she would have to move. The counselor told her this was like a bullet, and that once the trigger is pulled, it cannot be taken back.
With tears in her eyes, the woman told the counselor today was the only day she could do this because tomorrow she leaves for Italy for two weeks. The counselor told her she was happy they met and urged her to go to COLFS. The mother left FPA rather quickly and she and her daughter began to leave. As they were leaving, the counselor handed to her a special rosary and told her to take it to Italy because “she” (Our Blessed Mother) would take care of her. The young woman seemed relieved.
FPA was very busy today and all are encouraged to come and pray during these 40 Days for our most vulnerable members of society. “If not us, then who”?

Planned Parenthood, Orange County
The following is from Shawn Carney of 40 Days for Life.
Connie in Orange County shared the story of a man who lives about 10 miles from the 40 Days for Life vigil site outside of Planned Parenthood. He rides his bicycle to the vigil — every day — and remains in silent prayer for four to five hours.
“What impressed me the most was that he comes on his old bicycle that is giving him problems and sometimes he has to stop several times to check on it,” she said. “And he does this every day!”
