President Donald Trump’s pick to lead the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division is being praised by conservatives as a fighter for free speech and biological reality.
President Trump announced Harmeet Dhillon as his pick for assistant attorney general. Dhillon has represented a number of high-profile clients, including pro-life journalist David Daleiden, The Daily Wire (against President Joe Biden’s COVID shot mandate), and “detransitioner” Chloe Cole.
“Throughout her career, Harmeet has stood up consistently to protect our cherished civil liberties, including taking on Big Tech for censoring our free speech, representing Christians who were prevented from praying together during COVID, and suing corporations who use woke policies to discriminate against their workers,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Harmeet is one of the top election lawyers in the Country, fighting to ensure that all, and ONLY, legal votes are counted.”
“It has been my dream to be able to serve our great country, and I am so excited to be part of an incredible team of lawyers led by [Attorney General nominee Pam Bondi]. I cannot wait to get to work,” Dhillon wrote on X.
Dhillon will replace Kristen Clarke, Biden’s appointee to the position. Under her leadership, Clarke has aggressively used the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE) to prosecute peaceful pro-lifers protesting outside of abortion vendors.
….Dhillon also has taken on gender ideology and the transgender surgery industry.
She is representing Chloe Cole, who had her breasts removed as a teenager, in her lawsuit against Kaiser Permanente….

And, it seems Trump chose her based on her qualifications, not only because she is a woman of color.
By implication, you seem to believe that a woman and woman of color is not usually qualified for a job?
Let us keep in mind that there are more women in college than men, more in MBA school than men and generally manage the world anyway.

You’re inferring something I didn’t imply. However, some are given positions based on gender, race or ethnicity, rather than based solely on qualifications. There was a time when that happened to some because they were white males. Let’s have the most qualified serve in all fields, regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity or religion.
It looks like President Elect’s Donald Trump’s cabinet is starting in the right direction. Freedom of speech and biological reality are hallmarks of a true and just Democracy.

LMU is looking for a new university president. I bet it will be a woman of color because LMU will want to send a message and make history. Usually, women of color who are hired to be the top person in an organization are less qualified than white men who were passed over because of woke DEI reasons. And the organization suffers for it. Companies are dismantling their DEI divisions now because they have realized after several years that they are a waste of money and that DEI results in poor performance and inefficiency in business. Hire based on merit alone.

People who have experience in business know this to be true. It’s also true in academia. Universities are rife with DEI hires and promotions who are incapable. Same with government.
