Father Illo, pastor of Star of the Sea church in San Francisco, gave an 11-minute homily on Sunday, January 21.

“California is one of the few states not freed by Dobbs. And so we had the Walk for Life. Dolores Meehan in a talk with a TV reporter, heard the reporter say, ‘I’m pro-choice.’ Dolores talked to him and won him over a little.

“Most people do not hate their children. The vast majority of people do not want to kill their children. Some people at the Walk were angry; these people see children getting in their way of a trouble-free life.

“Selfishly we try to avoid pain, we don’t anyone to interfere with our plans for our lives. We know that as we walk down Market Street; we acknowledge that we are sinners.

“The archbishop spoke about family life. As he said, it goes back to the acceptance of artificial contraception as part of the sexual revolution. If you want to build a culture of life, you must build a family.”
