The image of the sculpture, “Memorial for Unborn Children” by Martin Hudáček, has touched people’s hearts throughout the world. Photos of the sculpture have been shared on social media countless times and featured in numerous print publications, but few people have actually seen the original sculpture or any of the few replicas.
Mark McKeon’s desire to memorialize his late wife has led to Mark bringing the first full-size replica to the U.S.
On February 25, the date of the one-year anniversary of the death of his wife, Susan, the sculpture will be dedicated in her memory at their parish church, Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fresno.
In a moving tribute to Susan, Mark explains that Susan had for years struggled to find peace from an abortion she had had as a young woman. Mark says, “I am donating a replica of this sculpture to Holy Spirit because I believe there are many women in Susan’s exact situation who need to know that forgiveness is possible, that God’s Divine Mercy can reach even them. The sculpture spoke to me in a powerful way about that.” For the full tribute click here.
Artist Martin Hudáček will be coming from Slovakia and will be honored at the ceremony.
Holy Spirit Catholic Church is located at 355 E. Champlain Dr. in Fresno. The February 25 dedication will be at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow.

One heart dies, another breaks.
We don’t know what happens to the souls of aborted or miscarried children. We don’t know their eternal fate. Theological opinions exist, but there is no definitive Magisterial teaching on the matter and Revelation is silent about it.
Through our faith is what we believe. They r God’s children n he has them back. God bless them all.
