Dear Pro-life friends,
Turning Point reports that FPA was doing abortions late into the afternoon on Tuesday, but Thursday morning, movers were hauling boxes out of the clinic and into a moving truck. The movers indicated they were moving it all into storage.
Needless to say, the fact that they are apparently leaving is welcome news. I wish I could say they were closing for good, or leaving San Diego County, but unfortunately, they appear to be relocating to El Cajon. Nonetheless, it is a victory with a small “v”, because anytime a community loses an abortion clinic, the community wins. North San Diego County has suffered with this abortion clinic for too many years.
FPA Women’s Health, which is the re-branded name for Family Planning Associates, recently included on their web site “New Location in El Cajon Opening Soon”. No address is given. They are no doubt preparing the space for occupancy, since their things are being moved temporarily into storage.
We noted earlier this year that their lease was coming due at the end of October. Perhaps they decided not to renew the lease because of economic reasons, or perhaps the landlord decided not to allow them to renew because of years of complaints from the other tenants in the center, or perhaps 10 years of praying in front of this clinic, including 7 years of 40 Days for Life campaigns, has taken its toll on them.
The story is still unfolding, including exactly where they will be moving, and when they will open at the new location. We will keep you posted.
Thank you for the many years of prayers.
